It warps my mind to think about the amount of research that goes into a study like this...

More and more, I find out that I am very similar to algae...

Algae People unite!

My mother in law would like her body clock reset. Go algae. Anything to make her happy and calm.
bossm4nJan 30, 2011
She's a mother-in-law. They're not supposed to be happy and calm.

It makes sense. Even the simplest computers need a clock to function.

Attest to the fact that we are fearfully and wonderfully designed.

OK if this is so important for mankind...

Another study published in the same issue of nature found circadian rhythms (molecular clock) in red blood cells (which have no DNA). This shows that DNA is not necessary to regulate circadian rhythms. The algae finding and the red blood cell finding are extremely cool and totally rock the foundations of biology!

More and more, scientists are overreaching in their conclusions, as they need to make a play for the next grant. Then a study comes along and "foundations are rocked" when it's only because too many assumptions were made from past studies.
"Not necessarily" is an appropriate response to far too many publications these days.

Soylent green is so yummy.

I think it is so sweet that god gave the little algae a piece of us. How many ribs did we have to start with?

I knew it!!!...not really.

I am skeptical about this. How can people work in night shift if this really implies?
