I'm with Colbert on this one: "Come on Caramel Space Chip Swirl" :-)
If this comment does show up, it won't be for a lack of trying. Digg is error prone today. Maybe Colbert can do a Digg fundraiser to help with all these broken axles.

NASA should demonstrate what advancement have been accomplished on the ISS and also demonstrate that they could not have been accomplished anywhere else. Only than will people see that we are getting something from the 100 billion dollars spent on it. I believe the main thing it is being used for is seeing what effect 6 months or more of living in space has on the human body. I wish there was information on that robot and that collision detector. A huge amount of money was spent on both and we should have had some results from them by now.

The budget used for Nasa isn't solely in space research. At a .6 percent of the federal budget, and at an average of about 16 billion a year the cost of looking beyond our planet for information is better spent than how we take and destroy social security. At least with nasa we get a return on investment.
