That's faulty logic.
You're assuming people would only follow because they want to know what you're submitting.
However, they could just want to know what you're commenting on and what you're digging.
I have 90 followers and 1 lame submission. I'm not convinced they're all spammers.

A good place to start for deep space exploration is setting up a station on the Moon and getting people there full time. As we get more advanced in traveling between Earth and the Moon, we can do deeper manned exploration.
