FTA: "The breakdown effectively leaves in place 14-year-old rules that do not prevent the sale of food from clones."
Hope they can come up with an agreement soon!

Why?

I don't mind if they sell it at grocery stores, as long as it clearly states on the packaging that it is cloned. We have a right to know what we are eating.
norman619Mar 29, 2011
What's wrong with eating clones? You have any proof it's harmful at all or are you just listening to your gut?
bukowskyMar 29, 2011
Just something I'm not interested in. Nothing more than a personal choice..
norman619Mar 29, 2011
I agree with your reasoning. Dugg.

Is it a biased (propaganda) video or a real unbiased informative documentary?
sonicgardenMar 29, 2011
i watched it in my biology class, its a film that you can watch and can easily make up your own opinions

There are many far more important things they should be telling people about their food than if it came from a cloned source or not. What health issue could you get from eating a clone that you can't already get form one that isn't a clone?
apokalyps2547Mar 29, 2011
"We have a right to know what we are eating."
Now I agree.... but what does that have to do with putting that on the packaging? If you want that information, you should have every right to ask about it and get a truthful answer.
I have the right to know what state my apple juice's apples were grown in, but if the packaging doesn't include that information, that doesn't mean the truth is being hidden.
Putting "cloned" on packaging would imply that there's a difference when there is none. It's the sort of thing that leads to rumor and general BS-peddling.

GTFO . I love my cloned food.
freebotMar 29, 2011
so close to not having any banana's today
norman619Mar 29, 2011
LOL!!! Exactly. Bananas are clones and we eat them w/o any fear.
zbeastMar 29, 2011
Good, because that would be stupid. there is nothing wrong with clone food.
dromniMar 29, 2011
I can't imagine why they are even discussing that law.
My country (Brazil) is the second largest world beef producer and cattle cloning has been kind of common for years. There are even cloned rodeo bulls - http://g1.globo.com/sao-paulo/noticia/2010/07/clone-do-touro-bandido-estreia-em-rodeio-no-interior-de-sp.html
betaspMar 29, 2011
I think it is screwed up that some people in the world are starving, and some countries have so much food that they can fuss about the fact that it was cloned.
mwonMar 29, 2011
gimme my cloned food and milk with rBST mmmmMMmMMMmmm!!!
ianquinnMar 30, 2011
yeah, but genetically modified food might be as healthy as normal food. If one had two stakes, one moded and one organic, how would he/she tell the difference?
