news.discovery.com— Even though it isn't wired for broadband, this prehistoric domicile does have beds and even a fireplace.

Perhaps this is the prehistoric equivalent of mom's basement, you know small not much in their and if you look underneath the bed you'll find cave paintings of naked women.
I wonder, do people who keep living at their parent's place suddenly lose their rooms? Why do they all suddenly live in the basement? Do people get high off the radon leaking down there?
"The big question, according to Cabanes, is how such a resourceful species went extinct." Some new species will be writing that statement about us some day.
If you read this article carefully you will find that there is no proof that it is indeed a Neanderthal dwelling. The researchers are inferring that the inhabitants were neanderthals based solely on the estimated age of the cave. This is not science, this is pure opinion or merely a theory. The inhabitants of the cave could very well have been human pioneers to the region.
Regardless to what they were, I think this is neet and it is relevent to our actual situation about a polluted world that we are trying to clean up. They lived clean and green. They burned everything that was old or unusable so they kind of desinfected their environment. Some might say that they still polluted the air but let's not forget that it was done with natural products and out of need. So in time nature cleaned itself. I think we should learn from them and use renwable and natural, ecofriendly products in our homes, without suggesting that we should live in caves.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
As the theory goes, humans and neanderthals coexisted for a time and may even have interbred. So if humans were in the area why could this not be a primitive human dwelling?
As for what is science, according to Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary, the definition of science is "knowledge covering general truths of the operation of general laws, esp. as obtained and tested through scientific method [and] concerned with the physical world." According to Wikipedia, the scientific method is defined as, "A scientific method consists of the collection of data through observation and experimentation, and the formulation and testing of hypotheses."
The above article clearly contains an hypothesis, but the observations do not fully support it. The information collected supports the fact that the cave was a dwelling for higher mammals (e.g. humans or neanderthals), but to say it was neanderthal is pure speculation.
Their humanists and materialists world views require them to attach long time evolutionary theory on to virtually every other area of science. If they don't they risk their theory and can not continue to believe there is no God.
In this case instead testing ONLY what they observe, they simply throw the only thing they know (or will accept) at the situation and make these WILD assumptions. I can do the same thing and probably make a pretty entertaining novel, but is it observable, testable, and repeatable? NO! This is so much fun!

Environmental factors? I doubt it... They survived previous ice-ages...
That's just PC stuff we like to say because we don't like to admit North American natives caused the extinction of the big animals in the Americas..

Mixture with neanderthals may have been what triggered human advancement.

The DNA seems to tell a different tale, but it's possible the necessary interbreeding was so slight as to not leave a trace that we can discern.
