Is there any politician who does not need to apologize for something?
bossm4nJan 28, 2012
The only thing he should apologize for is how bad of an accent he tried to pull off. Now if he would have nailed the perfect Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, that would have been funny. I can't stand Biden, but lighten up people. Poor attempts at humor do not equate to racism.
paultripJan 28, 2012
If we can no longer use "fake" accents then there should be only one language. I think humor is all gone and that's why we hate each other so much. Ease up, stereo types are not made up and I think Biden had pissed everyone off at one time or another....never with a mean intent.
HTTP4O4Jan 28, 2012
Should we also be offended by employees at Indian call centers mimicking an American accent when speaking to US residents?
anomaly100Jan 28, 2012
Hijack much?
novenatorJan 28, 2012
"I'm blaming his low IQ. Own your endless false accusations of racism, Democrats. Own it. I hope the successful Indian American Republican Governors Bobby Jindal and Nikki Haley will respond to Vice President Joe Biden’s disgraceful display. And by the way, this isn’t the first time Joe Biden has made racist comments about people from India."
Funny, I haven't seen those words anywhere at all in the article. The title should also read "Oh No, Joe! The ‘Indian’ Accent Comes Again". That type of hijacking of a subtitle would be grounds for getting banned if a progressive posted it and alanocu's Legion of Digg Patriots mass reported it!
bossm4nJan 28, 2012
Progressives hijack titles and descriptions on a daily basis, no one more than http://digg.com/tcbishop12/submissions You don't seem to have a problem with digging any of those. Should he be banned as well? Double standard much?
For instance,
He wrote this title, Romney, Gingrich: Is either of these GOP wannabes worthy of the Presidency? Really?
http://digg.com/news/politics/romney_gingrich_is_either_of_these_gop_wannabes_worthy_of_the_presidency_really
Actual title, Romney, Gingrich get testy in Florida
Or this one,
He wrote this title, Gloves off, Desperate Romney savages Gingrich: Newt cashed in on housing crisis while families lost it all
Actual title, Gloves off: Romney savages Gingrich
http://digg.com/news/politics/gloves_off_desperate_romney_savages_gingrich_newt_cashed_in_on_housing_crisis_while_families_lost_all
Or this classic,
His title, President Obama Working to Create Jobs Without Congress’s Help (and Despite Republican Job-Killining Obstruction)
http://digg.com/news/politics/president_obama_working_to_create_jobs_without_congress_s_help_and_despite_republican_job_killing_obstruction_businessweek
Actual title, Obama Says He’s Working to Create Jobs Without Congress’s Help
One more, although I could go on and on and on,
His creation, Mittness Protection Program -- Christie: Gingrich is embarrassment to the GOP
http://digg.com/news/politics/mittness_protection_program_christie_gingrich_is_embarrassment_to_the_gop
Actual title, Christie: Gingrich 'embarrassed' the GOP

Much ado about PC nothingness.
i propose that everyone in the world learn to speak one language with one accent. Thus we eliminate language/accent as a avenue for political incorrectness.
jerryhooverJan 28, 2012
When Indians apologize for child slavery and arranged marriage, biden can apologize for his bad accent.
skews13Jan 28, 2012
He sure does. But false accusations of racism against the rightwing isn't false. The volumes of recorded events proving that beyond all doubt you can't escape. while a percentage of conservatives may only dislike the President for racial reasons, 100% of the rightwing certainly does. Racism is as prevelant in this country as it ever has been. You either have to be willfully ignorant, or in complete denial to state otherwise, and the overwhelming majority of those racists are white anglo saxon protestant, and catholic christians.
Dr_RightJan 28, 2012
I looked for a legitimate study to back up claims of racism in the Republican party and the so-called "right wing"...... I couldn't find one......... Could you share your source for this claim?Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
killersquirelJan 28, 2012
I went on ask jives and it didn't say anything about Republicans and racism, so therefore it doesn't exist.

Dr_RightJan 28, 2012
No... Really.
I have been looking for an actual study on this and cannot find anything. If it is true, then it should be easy to find data to back it up. I did find this....

And maybe he did something he shouldn’t have done come and he spent the rest of his life making it up. And that’s what a good person does. There are no perfect people. There are certainly no perfect politicians.”

kasha34Jan 29, 2012
He means anti-white racism.
You know. Rev Wright. La Raza.
Did you now state colleges in NY have BLACK-ONLY Dorm!!!
kasha34Jan 29, 2012
"Racism is as prevelant in this country as it ever has been"
Huh? Oh. You mean in the black and Hispanic community. Gotcha.
Dr_RightJan 28, 2012
America is still the land of opportunity....
The village idiot, Joe Biden, worked his way up to National Idiot.
ybevar1Jan 28, 2012
If a republican did that it would be "racist".
Since it's a dem though its probably ok with most people.
sackusmc27Jan 28, 2012
My question is why are stereotypical Asian accents deemed offensive, but you never see such a big outrage over Western European accents? I can post videos online talking like a leprechaun all day long, but the second someone starts talking like Apu--watch out now, here come the PC police.
bille3Jan 28, 2012
Well, we must remember it is only white conservatives who are racist. Democrats of any race simply are not capable of being racist, only misunderstood or misquoted.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
chilidogsJan 28, 2012
It's fun to make up your own arguments. It's really easy to feel like you made a good point when you can make up your opponents argument for them. This was a classless embarrassment and I doubt you will find very many people willing to defend such a bone headed display.
crashdvisJan 28, 2012
Right. You folks never see the double standard. I know it's hard to see since you are the ones that created it so you think it's fair. If any Republican did 1/2 the stuff Joe Biden has done and said, they would be run out of town. Instead, you guys just go and talk about how silly Joe is and how he is misunderstood and anyone who wants to point out the fact that he is actually a racist idiot is just a bone head right?Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Your head is so filled with derp that you can't even read.
"This was a classless embarrassment"
abdulnJan 30, 2012
Joe Biden is an idot, but putting him aside... Considering that Indians as a society are as racially challenged as any other, this article is a bunch of crap.
I'm tired of PC bull-pucky. For the record, my family heritage is both Indian and Afgan.
kasha34Jan 29, 2012
Here's the irony:
What kept India so poor from independence in 1948 until the 90s was that they operated under their version of socialism. Every move in business need a license and a permission. So much so that their economy was stuck in quicksand. They called it "license raj."
Very similar to what Obama and his cronies are trying to stick us with.
In the early 90s they started loosening it up which brought the strong growth they've had since then.
slowpitchJan 29, 2012
Fur sure all those blond Valley girls totally have a hard time doing the Fuggettaabouttit Italian accents in Hollywood.I am sure there are accent coaches to get Joe some help.
0ldb0yJan 28, 2012
that was probably worst attempt at an Indian accent ever. i think it may have been Filipino instead. what gives? why do the freaking white people enjoy mocking and doing these f**king accents? especially the racists diggers here, you assh**es are all so good at the Oriental ones.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
