Perfect pic. Time for this lizard to crawl back under the rock he's been under for the last ten years. Buh-bye.
marcglezFeb 17, 2012
Newt must think that American has a short attention span and that all the unethical crimes his own party used to remove him from office are forgiven and forgotten.
Wait, yeah America does have a short short attention span and already forgot how we got here in the first place.
andy997Feb 17, 2012
Hey hey hey. Newts are not lizards...they're salamanders. I've no doubt both camps are upset.

public records? of the republicans speaker? why wern't republicans paying attention to their own speaker in 1990?

Because he's a rich white guy who isn't muslim.. so, that makes him okay by Republican standards.

Why would Gingrich want to release the records of a witch hunt? Eighty-four ethics charges were filed against him and all were dropped but one. The one that stuck was a trivial tax exemption he claimed for a consultant. They fined him $300,000 for the entire witch hunt.
It was all a bunch of bulls**t generated by vengeful Democrats.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

I never judged him on that.
My biggest thing with him is that he wants to drag judges in front of congress if he doesn't like the ruling, effectively removing judicial branch; So he wants to be a dictator, thats wonderful.
roofviewFeb 16, 2012
Its over for Gingrich but he doesn't know it yet so if you happen to run into him help him out and tell him. For those who are concerned about Obama's IQ just remember this a least he has one unlike George W who set this whole economic mess upon us.
bluto36Feb 16, 2012
oh puke...
its Bush's fault... in case you run into Obama, he took responsibility 3 years ago, he even said so. maybe you should ask him
ericschc1Feb 16, 2012
And a growing unemployment trend that started under Bush has since stabilized, & there's been 10 straight quarters of national economic growth.
You're right, he assumed sole responsibility for cleaning up a mess started by someone else & while he hasn't left the country "better than how he found it", staving off a depression should count for something to anyone who actually puts country ahead of party.
BSM_45Feb 17, 2012

cyberprunesFeb 17, 2012
Look, as far as the "blame Bush s**t". Let's be honest and attribute responsibility where it belongs. If Bush era policies are a root cause to recent the economic climate and deficit. Own up to it.
Obama hasn't been a perfect president. BUT, to deflect any blame pointed to Bush is just as disingenuous as blaming him for everything.
letherialFeb 17, 2012
Honestly, its not just bushes policys...
Its the ideology that big business can do whatever they want, and regulation has followed this trend since Regan.
First and foremost, the people to blame is the banks, Is there any intelligent person running them? doubtful.
Second to blame is both democrats and republican...They both allowed this s**t to happen.
third is the fed, all they are is a glory hole for big banks.
josh53188Feb 17, 2012
Bush was the worst President we've had since Nixon. Obama isn't perfect but he can't even enact anything as a President because the lower house is dominated by Republicans. This isn't just an ordinary House of Representatives... it is a vindictive and malicious group that will not work towards any sort of progressive solution.
So many are self-righteous and yet I don't think any are altruistic. I really don't believe Obama has done much but it is really only because I feel that the 1st line of government isn't allowing the initiatives of the POTUS to take shape. Usually, it is at the cost of the American people's potential future.
asfinktersezwutFeb 17, 2012
Wow. Much as I believe that George was one of the worst Presidents in history, I'm relatively certain you are missing the complicity of the Democrats in that whole mess. It's like Bonny and Clyde - you can argue about who shot more bullets, but they are both guilty.
ericschc1Feb 17, 2012
"It's like Bonny and Clyde - you can argue about who shot more bullets, but they are both guilty."
To the contrary, from at least a psychological (not political) standpoint, there is a compelling argument to make for looking at whomever has deliberately shot LESS "bullets"...it suggests maybe one party has a sense of consideration for the possible detrimental outcome of their actions.
lew2048Feb 16, 2012
Gingrich is making $ from running. He lives on campaign contributions, everything he does is part of that.
Meanwhile, he may have some small success, enough that the Establishment (Republicn division) is motivated to buy him out.
Even if not, contacts are the name of the game, appearing to be a real player. That will result in more consulting contracts. Not bad for a mediocre history professor.

Gingrich should release his records as soon as Obama releases his (not talking about his birth certificate).
Wouldnt it be nice to see the grades of the smartest man on the planet? I think so. We always hear what a brilliant mind Obama has. His record in office doesnt support that claim so how about we take a look at his grades. No? Why not? What is he hiding?
Id release my grades from college because they were really damn good. But I have nothing to hide like Obama obviously does.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

To be honest, just to be accepted into Harvard sets you above the rest. To graduate Harvard with an: JD, Harvard Law School, 1991 adding, President, Harvard Law Review and BA, Columbia University, 1983. I think it is safe to say, even graduating on the lowest end of the class would still rank you as equal or grater than in GPA than any average state/private college graduate.
So, really nothing to prove.
But I understand why you asked this question in the first place.

Bush is an idiot by any objective measure. I mean he is below the average for IQ. Do we agree? We probably do. And yet, some how, this moron went to and graduated from Yale. An Ivy League university. How did that happen? Your response will be that he had connections that got him there. I would say that youre correct.

Personally I've always thought of Dubya as being more " common folk in ways " or rather, one of the guys type, not dumb. He came from money--true, but you wouldn't know it per se. Far as graduating Yale or other Ivy league school, one thing they do not do is just hand out degrees, they have a reputation to maintain. Even if I were to fall for the Bush comes from money bait...he still had to show some brain activity to graduate Yale....thus even the dumbass of Yale would make an average state school grad look unresponsive dumb. So again even if money got you in or color or [ insert whatever excuse you like here ], still well above the educational intelligence curve.
Thus nothing to prove, Get It ?

Per right wing logic, Obama is the greatest con man, grifter in modern history.....maybe of all time. Up until 2007ish this man had zero history, between 2007 and his election ( highest office in this land ), he managed to manufacture one hell of back history: forged birth, passport documentation, manipulated one of the most respected law schools into playing along with his con [2], forged his role as President, Harvard Law Review, manufactured two higher education degrees ( BA, JD ) and faked his political job as a Senator 1996 - 2008, managed to circumvent secret service/federal security clearance vetting and went on to become commander of one of the largest military forces in the world....just to rattle off a few of his cons. All of this in a rather short time frame. This is one hell of a skilled con man and should be left alone to ride out his 8 years of President.

The Law School has received many media requests about Barack Obama, especially about his status as "Senior Lecturer."
From 1992 until his election to the U.S. Senate in 2004, Barack Obama served as a professor in the Law School. He was a Lecturer from 1992 to 1996. He was a Senior Lecturer from 1996 to 2004, during which time he taught three courses per year. Senior Lecturers are considered to be members of the Law School faculty and are regarded as professors, although not full-time or tenure-track. The title of Senior Lecturer is distinct from the title of Lecturer, which signifies adjunct status. Like Obama, each of the Law School's Senior Lecturers has high-demand careers in politics or public service, which prevent full-time teaching. Several times during his 12 years as a professor in the Law School, Obama was invited to join the faculty in a full-time tenure-track position, but he declined. "

I believe that the present form of our government causes our President to be in possession of knowledge which could land him/her in jail once taking The Oath of Office, if not before.
As for Bush, his administrations criminal activity likely is the most corrupt Presidency of the past 100 years, far exceeding second place Reagan. Though the mentality today is to protect your own (your own being a fellow politician), less of course you are a Republican going after a Democrat.

Speaking of transparency, Obama has had a host of fundraisers lately, courting wealthy donors who paid tens of thousands each to talk with him behind closed doors.
If he were a Republican, you’d see the media trying to break in and plant cameras in all of these "closed to the press" fundraisers, and then they'd cut to people standing in line to get welfare, homeless people on the street and starving children in Somalia.

You're acting like college grades are somehow equivalent to a House Ethics Committee investigation?! Come on now.
justmyop1nionFeb 16, 2012
"Gingrich should release his records as soon as Obama releases his (not talking about his birth certificate)."
First point, you are comparing records on ethical charges while serving in office to someone's college transcripts. This is comparing apples and oranges so your whole point is moot.
Secondly, how often does a president or presidential candidate actually release their grades?
Mitt Romney has not released his grades. We only have Rick Perry's because they were leaked to the press. Romney also graduated from any ivy league school, but for some reason the right doesn't seem to care as much whether or not he releases his grades. I don't think Ron Paul hasn't released his grades either, does that matter to you though?
George Bush actually didn't release his grades. They were leaked by an anonymous source. This demand for Obama's grades seems very odd considering that there isn't necessarily a set tradition of presidents willingly releasing their college grades to the public.
asfinktersezwutFeb 17, 2012
Right. Because School marks are just as important as ethics violations that netted someone record fines.
Clearly you need to think this over a bit more - come back when you have an argument that might be considered at least halfway rational.
