Who cares if he's rich, unemployed, payed less taxes than Obama, or gave more to charity? Why are any of those an issue? Besides making a spectacle why would anyone care about anything except his political stances and achievements?
It makes him a hypocrite? Oh, well that's so very different than every other candidate before him ( I recognize he's flip-flopped though ).
If elected president, what policies would he favor/is against? What'd be his stance on social issues? On taxes? On the 'war regime'? What job sector does he favor? What 'humanitarian' cause would his regime espouse? What's his views on foreign policy? On foreign aid? Immigration? Etc, etc.
Why are we focusing so much on the peripheral bulls**t instead on the things these candidates are saying on the debates. The debates are so important and most people are so flippant about them it's sad ( same thing could be said about SotU speeches ). You know, the debates for the republican nomination for the presidency of the United States.
Politics has become too Hollywood-glamour-ridden bull; I keep seeing articles that make it more like a high school drama every day. Maybe I wasn't paying as much attention pre-clinton bj but this is getting ridiculous IMO.
You'd think, Dear Leader, whom I think we can all agree is the single most saintly and sagacious human to ever hold elected office in recorded human history would have given more than 1% of his salary to charity.
As a practicing Mormon, Romney is "required" to tithe 10% to the church. That accounts for most (if not all) of his reported charity.
Not sure where Obama's 1% figure comes from - the Obama 2010 charitable donation figure apparently was 14%. And that's without being "required" to donate to his church.
Tithing in the LDS church isn't required, its voluntary. They don't kick you out of the church for not paying. You just lose the privilege of going in their temples.
