I read 'Romney' and my head started to hurt.
kislingFeb 1, 2012
Flogging any significance out of the referent of a sentence is a rare and wonderful talent. I am in awe.

You see how a teleprompter would come in handy??
ServerGeekFeb 1, 2012
OR, you can just write everything on the palm of your hand. I hear thats what the professionals do.
anomaly100Feb 2, 2012
For 'common sense' Conservatives (oxymoron) it is all the trend.

Obama needs more than a teleprompter at this point.

"What they'll say is, 'Well it costs too much money,' but you know what? It would cost, about. It it it would cost about the same as what we would spend. It. Over the course of 10 years it would cost what it would costs us. (nervous laugh) All right. Okay. We're going to. It. It would cost us about the same as it would cost for about hold on one second. I can't hear myself. But I'm glad you're fired up, though. I'm glad."
4.) "The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings and inefficiencies to our health care system."
5.) "I bowled a 129. It's like - it was like the Special Olympics, or something."
6.) "Of the many responsibilities granted to a president by our Constitution, few are more serious or more consequential than selecting a Supreme Court justice. Car0lyn,
And yet people still follow this guy above. Go figure.
TGRHvWGAFFeb 2, 2012
Key difference - the majority of those are verbal flubs. Romney's identity property of believing in America? That's what he really wanted to say.
ghengiskhan1Feb 2, 2012
Hilarious way of making your point and opponent look retarded. Well done.

I think he WAS using a teleprompter - but it got caught in a loop.

diggit83Feb 2, 2012
To be fair, you can understand what he was trying to say, he just fumbled it. This can just as easily happen with a teleprompter, because you aren't just staring at it reading it line for line, you glance, see a section, then say it. Most of the time they have seen whats on the prompter before, and the glance just refreshes the next few lines for them.

I also believe in an America, where millions of Americans
believe in an America that dares to believe in millions of Americans.
Also I believe in faeries; but not millions of them that's just silly.

Believe in Tinker Bell fairies. The ones in Ireland are frightening. I'm not being prejudiced. Pinky promise.

Prepare for a murrain on your cattle, assuming you
have any cattle.
Failing that maybe a banshee howling in your chimney
or the potatoes of your field getting up and walking away
- or anyway maybe some pixies keying your car.
anomaly100Feb 1, 2012
Of course I have cattle. I live in Manhattan. In a little cozy apartment. I do not worry about Banshees. You'd have to have met my ex to understand. We all have our failings...
cosmicsurferFeb 1, 2012
Those city cattle are mean muthas too!

Maybe let them smoke a last cigarrette if they
wanted.
Kinda silly question if you think about it.

I find the fact that he and Gingrich are the two font runners in the Republican race to reflect rather badly as to the state of our country. Neither of them really stand for much of anything besides their own selfish, egotistical goals. Its obvious to anyone with two braincells to rub together that they both are willing to say ANYTHING to get into office. Yet people continue to vote for them. Its a sad, sad day, I don't much like Obama, but I'd much rather have him in office rather than see either of these two buffoons get anywhere near it.

recursive belief
mitchellkFeb 1, 2012
What is wrong with the statement? He says we have programs to help the very poor, which will be fixed to help them, if need be. He says the rich don't need his concern. He also says his focus is on the millions in the middle who are struggling without independent wealth or government aid. Edwards: no longer holds office
Weiner: recalled & un-seated
Clinton: Impeached, with unilateral support from both parties.

Hey number 7 GOPbot Aadyss your comments are as ignorant as your party! so do yourself a favor and delete all your accounts you are hurting your own party once again!
aadyssFeb 2, 2012
What you say is simply not true.
Clinton - impeached and not removed from office and still highly regarded by the Democratic Party.
Studds - homosexual sex with a minor boy. Censured by Congress, remained in office for another 14 years. Studds was later appointed chair of the House Committee on Merchant Marine and Fisheries. Studds received two standing ovations from supporters in his home district at his first town meeting following his congressional censure. I guess there is nothing wrong with consensual sex with a minor in Democrat land. Not so for Republican Mark Foley. Suggestive letters and out of there for Foley. No standing ovations from his Republican base.
JFK remained in office protected by the media and the Democrats.
LBJ remained in office until he quit.
Edwards was no longer a Senator when his sexual peccadilloes emerged so the Democrats did nothing to speed up his political demise. He won neither his reach for the Presidency or the Vice- Presidency, not because of the Democratic Party, but the voters.
Weiner lied and lied until he saw it wasn't working. After an explicit photo was leaked through the The Opie & Anthony Show, Weiner announced on June 16, 2011, that he would resign from Congress and he formally resigned on June 21. You are implying the Party threw him out. There is no evidence of that.
I don't feel there is a basis for the Democrats or Republicans to carry the banner of morality. The Democrats did and will continue to excoriate Gingrich on his sexual misdeeds while seeming to forget about their own problems that still have not been settled. Edwards goes on trial next month for stealing $750,000 from his campaign in order to cover up his behavior.
Do you honestly think it would be an appropriate action for me, if I had been previously involved in an elicit sexual encounter, to criticize others for doing the same? Really? That is the action of the current Democratic Party.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
