Sociopathic, murderous savages. Maybe we can get NATO to bomb them to protect the Afghan civilians.

Afghanistan is a disaster and a complete waste of money. We should have withdrawn a long time ago.
bille3Mar 29, 2011
We are repeating the mistake the Russians made. The main difference is the Russians do not have a lot of money or a Charlie Wilson to send to Afghanistan.
We should have never gone in there. As outsiders we are not able to combat Islamic jihad since we are not Muslim nor Islamic.

this rolling stone story smells. I want to see more proof than a few pics of dead people and some hearsay. The pics of the dead are no big deal it is proof for the cia they killed who they they say they killed but the rest sounds alot like a made up story for sensationalism to meComment is buried, click here to see the rest.

The soldiers admitted everything you dumb s**t. The guy Morlock who f**king did and enjoyed it obviously from the pictures, f**king admitted it.
Get your head out of the f**king sand assh**e.
elipabstMar 29, 2011
In fact Morlock just pled guilty and was sentenced to 24 years in jail.
kaelyiestaMar 29, 2011
Despite the direct proof from the related videos, testimony and pictures that the entire company was aware of the barbarism, the military and politicians are pushing hard for the 'isolated incident' angle. If they had any integrity, Morlock would not be alone.
elipabstMar 29, 2011
He's not. I think at least 5 other soldiers are charged as well. I tend to agree with your sentiments though when it comes to leadership in that unit. If people are walking around with bags of fingers in their pockets and numerous civilian shootings are going on that "don't smell right" which aren't followed up on, then there is serious negligence in terms of oversight from those in charge.
hammurabeeMar 29, 2011
The American people need to understand, that when any action taken by the military right, or wrong it is being done in our name.
When your tying to kill a fly like Bin Laden you don't use tank and full Armies, you use small intel hit teams. But how else is the military complex gonna benefit.
3 trillion dollars spend on Iraq and Afghanistan, an economy that's degrading by the second and no one cares.
randalllozanoMar 29, 2011
Maybe there is something wrong in the process they were trained. Alot of US soldiers deployed in war zones likes this becomes nuts. Or maybe its something they really need to do... whatevver...
nihilMar 29, 2011
I hope that people understand that while the behavior of these soldiers was abhorrent, there were thousands of soldiers in Afghanistan doing their duty honorably. War is hell and sometimes people snap.
OrlandoAlexMar 29, 2011
Thanks for pointing this out. In high-stress environments unbalanced behavior breeds. Unfortunately for the rest of the soldiers from the U.S. and other nations serving in Afghanistan, this sort of bad news has a huge impact, both on morale and on our ability to win the war by getting the innocent Afghan civilians on our side. We need that, or no sooner than we leave the gains will be lost.
cysailorMar 29, 2011
Thank goodness President Obama is President... otherwise this would be news.

Was Rollingstone there when this went down? I'm no going to point any fingers until there is more information from someone who actually knows what happened.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

rollingstone has videos, pictures and testimony. You did not bother to even consider their evidence, or you would not have made such an absurd claim. Stop spreading FUD.

Sad, just very very sad

Yes this is horrible but (insert justification/spin)

This is just plain sick.
I hope they all get to go away for a long time.

Must be nice to be able to pick and choose which stories you want to capitalize on.
slantyeyedMar 29, 2011
taken with a grain of salt since rolling stone seems to be anti-military these days

Thats great, because anti-militarism seems to be something that we need. this war is costing America too much money and doesnt seem to be doing us a bit of good
theswashbucklerMar 29, 2011
""He was proud of his finger.""
He was proud of committing murder?
That is totally f**ked up.
circeherbivoraMar 30, 2011
God, what a nightmare.
ashleyashy2013Apr 27, 2011
this is disgusting. What good are we actually doing in Afghanistan? As far as I'm concerned this is a waste of American lives, money, and supplies.
