Michelle Bachmann is actually a few degrees scarier than Sarah Palin.
cosmicsurferJun 14, 2011
Basically because she is actually holding office.
skews13Jun 13, 2011
And candidate Gary Johnson, who has actually announced he is running has been denied his place at the debate. Which makes this whole thing a sham. Considering he is the only viable candidate to have a chance at beating Obama. This isn't a GOP debate. It's a nutjob debate. Hopefully we will actually get the chance to witness a real GOP debate with real people.
aadyssJun 13, 2011
"...he [Gary Johnson] is the only viable candidate to have a chance at beating Obama." He [Johnson] cut the 10% annual growth in the New Mexico budget by using his gubernatorial veto on half of bills in the first six months. During his tenure as governor, he adhered strictly to an anti-tax, anti-bureaucracy program, and set state and national records for his use of veto powers: more than the other 49 contemporary governors put together. Term-limited, Johnson retired from politics at the end of his second term. He supports "slashing government spending", including Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. Doesn't sound like your type of progressive skews. Well, he is for decriminalizing drugs and has used medical marijuana. Maybe that is what puts you in his corner.
I don't know skews....he might be a Christian. Well, he did grow up as a Lutheran just like me. WHOA!!! Big loser there for you. Skews says Lutherans...blah!!
He also wants to balance the budget by 2013. WHOA!!! BIG CUTS IN PROGRESSIVE PROGRAMS!!! He says we are on the road to financial collapse. Wait! Glenn Beck says the same thing. Ah yes, just another one of those.
He wants to ELIMINATE the corporate income tax. Gaspers all over the place from progressives on that one!!! I can see them puking up their lunch as I speak.
He also wants to repeal Obamacare. WHOA!!! He says we can't afford it!!! GASP!!!
He wants to repeal the Bush drug program!!! WHAT!!! The poor old folks [me] will be dying on the sidewalks and back alleys again? Ha! I knew I should have saved my money.
He wants to cut defense spending?? Does that mean getting Obama's troops out to action in Afghanistan and Libya? WHOA!!!
Well skews, have you come over to the light or are you just full of it as usual. I of course being a reasonable person select the latter. What a joke that skews would want to watch a person like Gary Johnson. I certainly will look at him but skews?? What progressive affiliate/s do you work for skews?Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Actually, I work for myself. But after looking at the list of candidates, half candidates, and wtf candidates, I maintain Johnson is the pick of the litter.
aadyssJun 14, 2011
After reading many of your missives, I missed the part where you stated you were a Libertarian. Strange.
aadyssJun 14, 2011
Also, I do not believe it was the Republican Party that denied Johnson's appearance at the debate. I believe it was CNN.

He's too gay though. Not that there's anything wrong with that lifestyle but the GOP would never let an openly gay man represent them. Sorry for your loss.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

As the comedienne Smmore says "Its going to be a beautiful thing to see".
moonriderJun 13, 2011
Yep, especially when Ron Paul wins the whole debate.
woodsjransomJun 13, 2011
I really did not pay any attention to Ron Paul the last time. I intend to have a candidate that I can live with IF a republican should become the president. Everybody got to keep their hands on the table where I can see them LOL.
treehugger87Jun 13, 2011
It won't matter. He will win hands down, then Fox News will "report" that he lost, did a terrible job and is a fringe candidate. Viewers will "decide" that Ron Paul is not viable. The end.
wf80diditJun 14, 2011
Yep, that's pretty much how it always works. It's CNN's John King moderating tonight so I'm sure he'll do a real "fair" job. Probably spend most of his time reminding the candidates not to go over the mandatory 30 second response time. lol, hate it when they ask a tough question and only give them half a minute to answer it.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

I already know what's going to happen: Everyone will try to "outcrazy" the other with Papa "king of the hill" Paul playing whack-a-mole. I just hope Bachmann forgets to take her Xanax.
woodsjransomJun 14, 2011
woo hoo it'll be like watching a 6 year old with a gun whoa Nellie!!!
wf80diditJun 14, 2011
It's on right now, Bachmann unofficially-officially announced her presidential run. No really, she announced her presidential run in the very beginning of a GOP presidential debate. Like no duh! I hope you're intending to run if you show up at the debate of people running for the position of president. If not, you're a waste of space you dummy.

Gary Johnson former governor of NM was banned from the debate but that bitch was given a golden pulpit.
woodsjransomJun 14, 2011
Clark give me some background information and I am going to look him up anyway. Why was he "banned"? *just asking*
Closed AccountJun 14, 2011
He was banned according to CNN because he was doing "low" in polling. YET he was banned, and Mike Huckabee and Bachman were invited, and several others who had not even announced. Infact Huckabee said clearly a while ago that he would NOT run, yet CNN sent huckleberry hound an invite. Very strange if you ask me..Gary Johnson deserved to speak at the debate but was completely sidelined ,it should be illegal.

what the f**k kind of debate was it when all the questions are rigged for hand picked candidates, not everyone answers the same question..not everyone gets the fair amount of time. It isn't debate, its mental masturbation, and Mitt Romney is good at mentally masturbating to his own image.

FTA: when I’m thinking Bachmann, I’m thinking supercomputers, I’m thinking lightning fast processing speeds and I’m thinking megaminds unlike political debate has ever seen before.
Get out the popcorn, sit back and be ready to have the best of the best put on a show tonight which will blow our little minds away.

Instead of popcorn, all I can think about is the largely confused, "all I think about is jobs", Democratic popgun Barak "pop"... "pop"... "fizzle" Obama. Yes, your "little" minds have been blown away pop-pop-fizzle. So sad really. Ha!!Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

The problem with the GOP is that they try to have it both ways. They want to pretend to be the party of "limited government" and yet they expand it when ever they get the chance. They certainly do not decrease the government in size or cost.
They claim to be fiscally conservative, but blow money like drunken sailors on stupid wars in foriegn countries or new government programs that dont work.
At least the democrats tell you they want to grow government and that they want to tax you to pay for it. As much as I loath the f**kers, at least they are honest about their intentions. I cant say that about the GOP.
Enter the "Tea Party".
The Tea Party is trying to push the GOP toward a more fiscally sane platform. The Tea Party wants less spending, less government, less taxes (TEA stands for Taxed Enough Already). Except they dont. When proposals are made about actually cutting government programs the Tea partiers like (SS, Medicare, Defense) then they turn into republicans (they talk about cuts, but dont really do it).
So, in my brililant estimation, the "constitutional crisis" in America is one between the American people and the Constitution, not the government and the Constitution. The American people do NOT want a government with limited powers that adheres to the constitution. They say they do, but they dont (at least a large majority). They actually want a benevolent government that takes care of them from craddle to grave. They want entitlements. They want free stuff.
Being taken care of sounds great. Too bad its a government model that doesnt work and will fail.
So the GOP candidates tonight will pay lip service to "limited government" and "The Constitution" in order to placate their constituency, but neither the GOP candidates OR their constituency really want it.
Which is actually really good news for all you statists out there! You guys never lose regardles of which party is in power! Lucky bastards!
moonriderJun 14, 2011
However, one of them (it would have been two of them had Gary Johnson been allowed to debate) actually lives and votes by Constitutional principles. Ron Paul has never voted differently from what he says about limited government, less taxation, getting our troops out of foreign nations, etc., he is our best bet for getting the government off our backs (Gary Johnson is our second best shot).
Also, if you are someone who gets tips on your job, Ron Paul just introduced legislation to change tax law so that you do not have to pay income tax on your tips.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

I think you are slowly figuring it out. the Demoncrats and Republirats are employed by the big banks. The media is owned by big lobbyists who get their loans and deals cut with the same banks. Guess who owns the country...not the people, nope. Its the money changers, the ones who counterfeit paper called "USD" and they pretend they are part of our u.s. government. Its the puppet masters who can hand money to whomever ,whenever...predict the market, and control the elections.

It seems to me the left is all about telling us who NOT to vote for. Who NOT to listen to. Who ISN'T qualified.
This is the problem with the left, exemplified by this Carpet Bagger. They genuinely do not think anyone but themselves have the ability or intellect to evaluate the situation, the candidates (or the news) and determine, independent of their guidance, what is best. Do not doubt for one moment that people like this "writer" genuinely think you're too stupid to think for yourself and reach your own informed conclusions.
If you don't mind, I think I will watch the debates and form my own opinion. I know that flies in the face of liberals. But I do not need the guidance of people like this writer to evaluate the candidates and form my opinion for me.
