He is making the Supreme's look like dogs. Smelly ones.

The Justices anyway. Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson, and Diana Ross never looked like dogs.

You are correct sir, that group of Supreme's were something!

I love the twists and turns. Colbert has done a great job of showing just how easy the affluent can skirt election campaign laws.

Colbert can walk the talk.

You can't be president unless you are rich or have rich friends. There are so many loopholes in our government rules and regulations that only rich people can take advantage of by hiring layers to figure it all out. I commend Colbert for tweeking the noses of our courts and governmental establishment. I still think we live in the best country in the world however.

The problem isn't citizen's united, its money and politics. Companies (and I hate saying this) *should* be allowed to say what they want, even with regards to politics.
HOWEVER, I think companies shouldn't be allowed to donate a single dollar to any campaign, as only individuals vote, so only they should be able to give the maximum ($2500 I believe) to any candidate each election. I think THAT Is the issue, not the citizen's united decision.

Supreme Court justices wouldn't make rulings like they do if they were actually held accountable for them. If they were tried for treason on the grounds that they are attempting to subvert democracy, then they would go to GitMo for their crimes.
If that threat loomed over their heads, they would think twice before making such controversial rulings.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Isn't that Newt Gingrich's position on judges? That if he does not agree with them, then he can investigate and punish them?
agmlauncherFeb 3, 2012
Well HE shouldn't have that power, but the people of the United States should. Everyone in any position of power should ultimately be held accountable directly to the people of the country.

Three areas where liberals hate free speech:
1) Supporting the "Fairness Doctrine," which would regulate and control political *opinions* on radio broadcasts.
2) Opposing WTVT in the rBGH news case. Leftists argue that the government should have penalized WTVT for running a news story that included both sides of the argument.
3) Opposing Citizens United. Liberals argue that people can donate money to a cause, but groups of people may not.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
