Yes and just like in 2008, in 2012 our choices are going to be a s**t sandwich on wheat or a s**t sandwich on white...It's still a s**t sandwich. When is America going to clean out the parties?Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

But if you choose pumpernickel you won't taste the s**t.
ernesthuaFeb 1, 2012
I have always believed that there was a real possibility that Palin is a Democrat operative posing as an fake religious conservative to make the real conservatives look bad.
I just don't know how to explain her behavior otherwise. It is just too over the top.
Michelle Bachmann is a close second.
woodsjransomJan 30, 2012
She is the best plug for Obama
leonard2Jan 30, 2012
I thought Larry Sinclair fit that bill.
equinox2o12Jan 31, 2012
Remember America!
If you vote for Newt Gingrich... the Mayans Win.

If either of these two win the election we all lose. The only decent candidate is Ron Paul. If he doen't get the nod I will vote 3rd party or not at all.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Sarah Palin...do everyone a favor and take your bridge to nowhere.
concusionJan 30, 2012
I think shes run out of old oil drums to sniff coke off of.
TGRHvWGAFJan 30, 2012
Personally I subscribe to the school of thought that say that it's disrespectful to do anything with one's vote other than vote for the person who would be the best president. Voting to "annoy" a liberal, or to throw a wrench in the primary, or to protract a primary battle is a perversion of the core of our democratic processes.
brucealmightyJan 30, 2012
Arguably, a vote for Newt in an open GOP primary could be construed as the equivalent of a vote for Obama by adding to the GOP's disarray. Just saying, there are lots of gray areas in politics and it's not uncommon to have to hold your nose while voting for the "best" candidate or option even tho you're really just voting for the "least worst" choice available.
particleman420Jan 30, 2012
republicans have been perverting the core of our democratic process for years.

duh. its so simple.
chadpyleJan 30, 2012
It depends on the denomination. Each provides justification for divorce based on different parameters. But, c'mon, this is a politician we're talking about - he's no doubt breaking tenants of his faith as a matter of routine.

Yes, good reason to cast your vote. This is why representative democracy cannot work. People vote for all the wrong reasons, and politicians do try their hardest to make sure that's how it continues to be. It's easier to smile and tell people what they want to hear.

Hey Sarah: Annoy a conservative... by talking... about anything. Just open your mouth and let that disaster of an inner dialog spill forth.

Referring to her as a "half-term Governor"? Really? Apparently anyone can change careers at anytime in their lives with no questions asked, except for her. All Americans have the freedom to choose their career paths, their own lifestyle, etc. -- except for her.
Want pot? No problem. We are not here to judge you.
Want an abortion? No problem. We are not here to judge you.
Have an affair with Oval Office intern? No problem. We are not here to judge you.
Quit after 2 years as governor after being the GOP VP candidate? UNFORGIVABLE. How dare you exercise your rights and freedoms to make a personal choice!
She must be always be demeaned and second guessed.
The only time that her quitting the governorship would be an issue for me is if I lived in Alaska and she ran for Governor again.
Oh well, I guess that is more respectful than what she is normally called from the Left.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
particleman420Jan 30, 2012
when she quit because the heat was coming down on her for corruption and moving into a job she had no qualifications for has a little to do with it.
but you go ahead and stay on that cross of yours, poor thing. i know it must make you feel bad to be reminded of the political idiots that you support.
drich255Jan 30, 2012

Should the post say, FULL term governor? That would be false. She only served HALF of her term. She quit. I will not recognize her as a full term governor when she was not.
drich255Jan 30, 2012
The post should say Governor, Fox News contributor (or whatever her title is now), or no title at all.
You are governor the day you are sworn in, not after you finish a complete term.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
drich255Jan 30, 2012
Disagree with Palin all you want, but it is extremely petty to refer to her as a half-term governor.
craig1958Jan 30, 2012
What about "half-wit governor," is that more accurate?
equinox2o12Jan 31, 2012
I refer to her as the Queen of Quit or that crusty Alaskan catch-rag.
particleman420Jan 31, 2012
did she not quit 1/2 way through her term?
that makes her a 1/2 term governor.
drich255Jan 31, 2012
So we will no longer call President Ford a President. We should call him a half-term President.
And Barack Obama was just a 2/3rds-term Senator.
And if they have a reunion of all the living Governors of Alaska, Sorry Palin -- Full-Termers only. You don't count.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
rednipJan 31, 2012
Typically one refers to people by the highest office they attain, or the one they currently hold depending on the context.
For example, most call Collin Powell 'Secretary Powell', rather than General Powell.
particleman420Jan 31, 2012
did ford quit halfway through his term too?
no. it's a bad example.
drich255Jan 31, 2012
Ford took over the 2nd half of Nixon's term after Nixon resigned. Ford did not win re-election. He served for half a term. And he wasn't even elected as VP, because he took over for Spiro Agnew when Spiro was charged with bribery. Ford was VP for less than a year -- so that would make him a 1/4 term VP and a half-term President.
The Left: We are Pro-Choice...except for Sarah Palin's choices. Her choices we will demean, demonize, ridicule, judge, and second-guess.
There could be a context where it would be appropriate to refer to her as serving a Half-Term (where the length of term is relevant). If she was chastising a Governor who is on his/her third term, then pointing out her short term in office could be relevant. But as a title, the length in office is irrelevant. And for telling people to vote for Newt, her length of time in office is also irrelevant. This article did not use that context in a relevant way. They used it as a title for her in a petty, patronizing, and judgmental way.
particleman420Jan 31, 2012
but did he quit his job halfway through, like palin did?
no, it's a bad example.
particleman420Jan 31, 2012
i guess it's too complicated for you to understand.
see, she QUIT 1/2way through her term.
he took over 1/2way through someone else's term.
she QUIT
He did his job.
vice presidents are SUPPOSED to take over for the president when they quit out of dishonor, or die, or are killed.
she QUIT 1/2way through her term. hence, she is a 1/2term governor.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
drich255Jan 31, 2012
Oh I get the distinction, but I still think it is silly and petty to qualify her title.
She wasn't recalled. She wasn't impeached. She had several ethics charges filed against her and was found not guilty in all cases. And the State did not cover her lawyer fees, she had to cover that herself. After she left, they changed the laws so that the State would pay for it for officials in office. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Palin#Resignation
She resigned. That is her prerogative. That is her choice. That is her business.
As I said, Liberals are Pro-Choice for most women, but apparently not for Sarah Palin and her personal choice to change jobs.
particleman420Feb 1, 2012
but you seem to think that because we're calling her what she is that she is somehow not "free" to choose.
she was perfectly free to choose that, just like we are perfectly free (and correct) to call her a half-term governor no matter how much you want to re-write history.
particleman420Jan 31, 2012
bury all you like, you cant change reality.
drich255Jan 31, 2012
I know you can't stand her, but the day she was sworn into office, she got the title of Governor. You can't change reality.
particleman420Jan 31, 2012
you are correct!
and the day she quit her job as governor, half way through her first term, she became a half-term governor.
see how it works?
