Christie went after the victorious Newt Gingrich on Sunday, calling the newly-crowned South Carolina primary winner an "embarrassment" to the Republican party. The outspoken governor conceded Saturday's Palmetto State primary, in which Gingrich trounced Romney by 13 points: We had a bad week as a campaign, and a bad result.
There's the awkwardness factor of Romney that no one -- no one -- wants to see in a U.S. President. The taxes thing is confusing. At first, Romney's vulture plutocrat campaign had just never figured that this would come up in the primaries—it would be a general-election issue raised by Obama, and Romney could get away with waiting until well after the primary season to deal with it.
But the way things have gone this week—and especially after Romney was caught flat-footed on Monday—you'd think he'd have a ready, firm answer in the second debate. Instead, he basically said: I don't want to put it out there because Democrats will attack me. Which sounded terrible. Does he really think putting it out now might hurt him in the primaries?
Then there's Romney's reputation or flip-flopping/evasiveness and all of the top-one-percent love the gruel us rich guys are feeding you little people or leave America moments.

Romney doesn't want to deal with reality. He must get past the primaries. He really thought no one would question him, just Obama. He may be great at being a vulture businessman who can turn trash into cash, but he is lousy at anything "people". He may yet win the GOP nomination, but he won't be left alone. This is game on.

NEWT is just a better politician. He saw the Confederate flag on the capital, and went racist without the N word. In SC, that works. It is going to be fun to see his game plan for Florida.
Romney is just not anything but "business vulture smart". He does know how to make big money, while using other peoples money and labor. He has never made anything on his own. His taxes are going to be an issue. He pays 15% while making $$$millions, and his plan lowers his rate. If a citizen makes a salary of $34,500, he pays 25% to income tax, and Romney wants him to pay more. How is that fair?
$350,000 for speaking is nothing to Romney, what do you think those American's making $34,500 will think of that?
