The pro-Walker forces can't win by being honest and they know it.

Yes, a real sign that they are hurting

Who's running for the Dems? I've read in the WSJ (ahem, news pages) that they're having a difficult time finding a candidate. In addition, polls show Walker not at all unpopular. I've no idea how this race goes, but if Walker retains his office, this will have implications in states across the country, just as Indiana's right to work ruling just did.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

WSJ is owned by Murdoch, the same guy that ran News of the World -- into the ground. Ethics bar set very low. WSJ is just another brand for News Corp. Same voice on all its channels.
I'd find a corroborating, independent source.

"Wisconsin's Republican Governor Scott Walker, who is the target of an election recall effort, leads all of his possible Democratic opponents in a special election expected later this year, according to a new opinion poll."

And that from a leftist organization like Reuters.

The poll was by Marquette University Law School.

I refuse to believe it! It must be a leftist plant trying to make 'patriotic' Wisconsin Republicans (aka: shills for Walker) look bad.

you forgot the /s.

If a recall election voter is so stupid and misinformed as to actually do this, I'd hate to actually see them have the ability to actually change anything.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

It's republicans voting in the democratic Primary trying to screw it up not uninformed voters writing in Walker.

Let it go, libs. You lost. The corrupt, greedy, rich 1% unions failed. The recall is already slated to fail.
Give it up and get on with your lives.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

You can stick your head in the sand all you want but they got more then a million signatures, the question isn't wether there will be a recall but wether or not people will still vote for walker and is there a viable democratic candidate ready to challenge.
Closed AccountFeb 5, 2012
just curious if the recall fails is there a limit on how many times they can do a recall? ive been looking and some sources say yes and some say no.
craigreedFeb 5, 2012
Apparently you only get one shot at recalling per term "if an elected official is targeted for recall, a recall election is held, and the incumbent retains his or her seat, that incumbent officeholder cannot be targeted again for recall during the term of office in which the unsuccessful recall attempt took place."
So if he doesn't get recalled the opposition will just have to wait for 2014.

okay. i was unsure because of the different answers i was finding. thanks.
davidnivenFeb 5, 2012
A million signatures? As in the million or so who voted for Walker's failed opponent in the last election?
The recall will fail.
quisquisFeb 5, 2012
The republicans doing this are silly, and it will only hurt walker in the long run. You can only vote in either the democratic or the republican primaries in WI, therefore when the Dems put up their fake republican primary opponent (to run against walker), all the republicans who vote in this one will not be eligible to vote in the walker primary.
This is also the dailykos taking a very small minority and pretending like it's representative of the majority; all the conservative talk show hosts in the area have already covered this and come down against it.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
