As some one who lives in California, my only question is how do we stop this unelected group of wackos from destroying the economy of this state?
It is beyond irresponsible to allow this group to DICTATE what vehicles people choose to buy--especially when the entire premise of man made global warming has been plainly show to be the largets HOAX in the last 100 years!Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

as some one who grew up in the city of Los Angeles in the 70s and 80s...
i can tell you i enjoy breathing cleaner air ! the smog still sucks but its nowhere as bad as it was thanks to Californians progressives setting the standard across the country... and i am saying this as a mussel car gear head. now im not real happy when i have to comply to CARB laws but thats the price to pay to live and do business in CA
whats so wrong living in a cleaner place?
cap and trade is bull s**t, solves nothing and is just a money maker.
the earth IS getting warmer tho...
these "wackos" moved forward innovation... its not a bad thing! the internal combustion engine is extremely inefficient
there are better ways ...
only about 15 percent of the energy from the fuel you put in your tank gets used to move your car down the road or run useful accessories, such as air conditioning. The rest of the energy is lost to engine and driveline inefficiencies and idling. Therefore, the potential to improve fuel efficiency with advanced technologies is enormous.

Smog is not CO2.

It's not dictating what cars people buy, it's dictating that car makers have to sell more zero emission cars in the state. You can still buy a gas powered car. Also, I'd love to see your evidence that AGW is a hoax. *popcorn*

you mean this bunch of paid off pussies who canned similar rules over 10 years ago is trying again?
of course now auto makers have what they want. a new way to SCREW US via "hydrogen cars"
You see a hydrogen car is essentially an ELECTRIC CAR where they have removed the cheap consumer friendly battery and replaced it with EXPENSIVE complicated CORPORATE friendly hydrogen fuel cells.
and of course it used massively quantities more electricity than an electric car does. Grid To Wheels for an electric car is over 90% with some examples hitting 95%
Grid to wheels for Hydrogen is 24%
Yeah!!! us :-(
Even crazy expensive short live lithium batteries are a better deal than HYDROGEN.
I want my god damned NIMHS.

Glad I live in a state where I can drive my gas-guzzling, V-10 Excursion.

I wonder what companies are going to benefit from this law? And I wonder if they are friends with the politicians who passed this?

And who is going to pay for all these unfunded mandates? That's right. YOU! The taxpayer. But, who cares if you have to give up your own money and freedom to make some politicians and their donating environmental activists feel better?Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

We haven't ended the unfunded wars yet, totaling more money for less effect than any other waste of money in history.
So don't be surprised that I'm not interested in this meaningless s**t compared to real unfunded mandates in this country
