It is a good question.
Why not?

You know, I agree it's sad that a 9 year old was killed. But is the blame entirely the gunman's? The testimony admits that Flores was involved in drug smuggling. Yes, it's sad that Brisenia was killed--but I think it is unconscionable to not blame the parents first.

No man has authority, or responsibility, over anothers trigger finger.
At least not in an immediate sense.
I would say the father is about as guilty as Glenn Beck is for the bullet now residing in the brain of his daughter.
How many drug dealers do you know? Would you advocate shooting their kids? Or even be ok with it? I dont think so.

That wasn't the point I was making. The parents created an unsafe environment for the child... just as bad as if they let the 9 year old play on the interstate. If the parents weren't involved in drag trafficking, it is really unlikely that the drug-crazed shooter would try to rob them of $4,000 in drug money.
Notwithstanding, the 9 year old is an innocent in all this, so yes, it's sad. But the lesson I would like learned from this is: if you're a parent, clean yourself up for your child's sake.

Thats good I suppose. An article is better than nothing.
Some silver screen time is what it deserves.
