Thats what Michael Moore says... which means it can't be trusted. Think about it. The cable was not meant to be public and Cuba actually did ban the film.

Does it really take almost 3 years and leaks of secret US documents to find out that Sicko was banned in Cuba? Is the information that pointless? Is it true? Is information security that tight in Cuba?

Ok, interesting. I went to the Cuban web pages listed at Moore's web site and they look authentic. So this is an example of the media reprinting reports without doing their own investigation. And interesting that you have to be careful about what the U.S. State Department says internally because it doesn't check its own facts either. And you can no longer claim that Wikileaks is not the press because it doesn't check the facts.
BTW: Did anyone not think it was strange for Castro to pass up on some anti U.S. propaganda and a chance to show how good their health care is to boost the Cuban national pride and to show off a success of his government? There is no excuse for not double checking this story.
