It's a cool video and makes it look like the cruise liner is squeezing it's way through a tiny canal, but if you do an image search on Venice cruise ship you'll see there's a lot of room there. Example: http://cruises.about.com/od/msccruises/ig/MSC-Cruise-Ships/MSC-Musica---Venice--Italy.htm

Not CGI, but more of a camera trick.
