Wow this study has no gravity on my life or friends in my social circle. All my friends and I get hit on all the time by older women and I look way younger than I actually am. I'm 22 and the oldest is 35. A good friend of mine also 22 and his oldest is 32. It's like this for most of my male friends around my age, just how it is here in the UK.

The myth is that older women and younger men are looking for a long-term relationship with each other. Younger guys in their prime dating years aren't going to want to commit to a woman who will get exponentially less attractive every year they're together, and older women aren't going to be happy dealing with late-night X-Box sessions and the constant fear that their partner is cheating with any one of the hotter younger girls hanging around.
It can still be fun in the short term, though.

I agree. These things happen as flings. The guy likes the older gal who may be more comfortable doing the weird stuff in bed, and the lady likes the young stud's youth and vigor.
But ultimately, the young guy does not want to put up with the extra baggage that comes from dealing with the lady's kids, divorce, or other sophisticated issues that older people just have to handle. While, the lady will soon tire of her Halo-obsessed, keg-standing boy toy and move on when the thrill subsides.

This article is pure BS. I'm 37, and I've had to resign myself to the fact that if a woman is close to my age and attractive, she's going after young guys. As a result, I've had to date younger women, and while the sex is good, the shallowness and party-girl ways that go with the younger demographic gets old...fast. And, I know that this might blow the minds of some of the Digg crowd, I'm finding that attractive women in their twenties are really reluctant to commit. F*ck like rabbits? Sure. Hook up like it will be physically impossible for them to ever have sex again? Oh yeah. Get in a committed relationship? Not so keen.
It's sad though. Some of these women are looking for relationships, but they are using the last few viable years of their physical attractiveness to have vapid flings rather than use their "market value" to attract a man closer to their level of experience and maturity. Then, they'll hit the brick wall, gravity will demand that they pay their due, plainness or outright ugliness will set in, they'll be unable to pull the cougar-bait anymore, and find that men their own age won't give them a second look. Then they'll complain bitterly about how shallow all men are...ironic, in light of the fact that the very reason they pursued young guys wasn't because of commonality or anything; it's was because the young dudes were hot. It was (and is) all because women have become every bit as superficial and objectifying as guys.
