myfoxphilly.com— Video shows a live mouse inside a bag of bread used to make Big Macs, at a McDonald's in Philadelphia. We speak to the former employee who recorded the incident and the store's manager.

Come on, guys, it is OBVIOUS that the guy was fired because he was an underperforming loser and he played that prank to the manager to get back on him. The mouse is probably his disgusting pet.
It is so convenient to believe him. If he indeed cared about our well-being he would have called the Health Department.
The former employee who shot the video was fired, The other former employee who spoke out was also fired.
What was a fired former employee doing in the kitchen?
The media has not questioned the cameraman on these issues and they didn't ask him if he planted the mouse.
Two former employees who were fired and one has acceded the kitchen unauthorized to shoot video. Those reporters have ignored the possibility of the employee buying a feeder mouse from a pet store and planting it in the bag.
His excuse for going back to the service area was "I was groin back dere to git sumtin else" What were you going to get and why are you going into a restricted area after you were fired?Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
Actually I worked those jobs in the summer AND during Spring Break by one of the busiest beaches we had as a teen in San Diego California. Nothing hard about the job. AND if you have more personality than a plank of wood you COULD get phone numbers and dates like and and the other guys who worked with me did.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
I worked at a deli once within a mall. We weren't within the 'food court' area, in fact on the opposite side of the mall. I heard TONS of similar stories like this from the court though. Our own shop got great grades, but every few months a mouse getting into the bread was not at all uncommon. Most of the time it chewed holes and tunnels thru the bread bags though.
We would throw ALL the bread away that morning and send someone to by more. Knowing 'food court stories' though, I could easily see a McD's in Philly doing exactly what is accused here.
Touché, grumpy bear. Perhaps I should have had my morning coffee before reading and typing comments. Correction from my prior post: *Disgusting – That being stated; in my early work history I worked for multiple fast food franchises to include McDonald’s and know first had how they worked and how dirty or clean the establishments that I worked for were. That fact alone makes it hard for me to eat fast food, and I can state that will never have a soft drink from a machine.
why should it be the former inployee, its not their fault .its the managers fault to make sure that each store is keep spotless ,and teach his staff health and safety.
The shocking part is that its being shown on a FOX puppet network. Rupert Murdoch isn't going to approve of this story about his corporate cronies getting out.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

beachsideladyJan 20, 2012

the mouse should restrain itself those buns are not healthy even for mice :P
zbeastJan 17, 2012
I don't see anything wrong with the mouse in the buns...
it's the first real meat that I've ever seen in a Big Mac.

No kidding. You have to be pretty damn worthless to be fired from a fast food job. Nothing there is rocket science.
razorsfuryJan 17, 2012
you obviously haven't work at taco bell on a Friday night in a college town.

specimen,
The claim is that video was shot in November when he was a current employee and has since been fired.

Discusting, yes...expected behavior from McDonald's, yes... nauseated now, you bet...going to McD's for lunch today, absolutely not.

Learned how to spell and use basic grammar, no
.Accusing a business of unsanitary behavior based on a shaky video and the word of two former employees who were fired for not doing their job, yes.

Thank you. The irrational and unfounded hatred people have for fast food chains is disturbing.

The McD's I worked at as a kid was utterly spotless at all times. It all depends on the owner/manager.
l45hiousJan 17, 2012
Very true :)
beachsideladyJan 20, 2012
yes i do agree, that it does depend on the manager of the store how he teaches his staff.
