Makes sense. McDonald's should do that in the US as well, following the lead of Starbucks.

It's all about the LOCATION, LOCATION, Location.

A $10.80 meal might not seem expensive in America, but in Argentina, the minimum wage is 1,840 pesos per month. (xe says this is $422 USD per month.) Compare that to the US federal minimum wage of $1,160 USD/month. ($7.25 * 40 * 4 = $1160) This is definitely a luxury item over there.

Most McDonald's in Europe (at least western Europe) serve beer. Their menu also tastes way better than it does in the U.S., with more food options and super decadent desserts...from my experience it seems like many Europeans treat it like an actual restaurant.

A Côte du Rhone might be more appropriate than Chardonnay with this kind of food.

That's the best-looking McDonald's Burger I've ever seen.
