So true. While new vette buyers are willing to pay top dollar, once they realize the bone shaker they bought is slowly killing them, they will unload it at any price. I once sold cars and a vette owner brought in an 8 year old machine wanting 20K for his "collectors" item. We offered him $1,200 and he walked out swearing.
Vette owners don't realize, the only vette worth owning is the original '58-'62. After that, they were just oversized pieces of metal.

1,200? are you serious?? and he accepted it? wow, what an idiot. And that right there is a fine example of why you never trade your car in at a dealership. they will f**k you every time.. I can't believe he accepted the money.

The dealer ended up finding a buyer at $2500 after getting it into shape. It still rode like a piece of sheet metal being dragged along the ground.

I'm just curious. what was the year and condition? I usually see corvettes around 8 years old and older,selling for more than that. Hence why I was so surprised to see the 1,200.
