npr.org— Candy-maker Mars says it's setting a 250-calorie limit for all of its candy bars. That means a regular Snickers bar will lose 30 calories and the king-size bar will be no more.

Yeas.I guess cutting down the size of the candy we are purchasing would save calories.
But it seems to me more news and attacks by the food police.
Candy is already much smaller now.
And the prices are much higher already.
They've already taken to splitting some king sized candies into two separate bars within the same wrapper; the change will be one of semantics instead of availability.
that's nonsense really. All they needed to do was to post the number of "servings" on the bar, for those extra anxious. I hope they also introduce the deal buy one get one free, so I for instance could stay with my habits ;o)
I wonder if the lack of extra sugar in the snickers will contribute to that guy turning back into Joe Pesci more quickly and heaping more verbal abuse on those girls?
I am sure it will be sold as a great way to reduce America's obesity problem, and just conveniently saves Mars millions. But it's really about the fat people.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

seems more of a excuse to save money...honestly.
I am willing to bet my life savings that the price wont drop 11%

Brilliant marketing ploy. Dress up a price increase as "helping its customers enjoy 'responsible snacking.' "
Look, just tell me the price is going up. And leave the decision of how much to eat up to ME, ok? Sheesh!

Sign of inflation.

But will companies reduce the price of the candy in question to reflect less of a product?
No?
Then they can go f**k themselves. Don't piss on my back and tell me it's raining.
