Isn't that like a million dollar fine in todays broadcast medium? Someone page the FCC!
OH, wait.... FCC fines weren't like that yet back then.
Closed AccountSep 10, 2010
1. Yes they were. The Janet Jackson Superbowl was earlier that year.
2. The FCC has no control over cable.
davidg11Sep 10, 2010
Yep. It's about as new and relevant as this is.

Oh good I was hoping for more crap from break.com on the front page.
:/

Get off your ass and start following some people then! I don't like it, but it's how the new Digg is working and not following someone is not voting. You vote, right? I just followed you. See I voted for you. Does this makes sense? Somewhere it does, but, Goddammit, I'm voting! In this our new Digg overlords system!
Enter a new link and it'll show up on "My News" where I can vote for your story, because, I LIKE your attitude. So, I'm going to "follow" you and perhaps "vote" on your initiatives. You might do well to "follow" me.. I don't know. I'm just going to vote on comments for a bit and trim it back later.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

If you like a comment, or story, just click on the user-name, wherever it is and there will be a great big "Follow" button. Start voting before I have to move to Reddit. I've been there and it sucks balls in commenting. Vote NOW GODDAMMIT!!!Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

It's blocked from work for a reason.
c_calienteSep 9, 2010
Digg would have censored that negative comment

Somebody's only about six years late on this one.
kaiosamaSep 9, 2010
Bush/Kerry? 2004?
How the hell is this story relevant at all right now? What's the significance of someone wearing an offensive t-shirt 6 years ago?
What the hell is wrong this site.
davidg11Sep 10, 2010
Kerry is going to win this election. I just know it!
thejokkerSep 9, 2010
Bush/Kerry election coverage. Wow digg, that was 6 years ago

So even though Digg started in November 2004, Kevin hadn't even THOUGHT of it on November 2?

Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.

respect my authoritah

Are you kidding me? You guys are really worried about relevance of a post when half of the posts on Digg v3 were just as old if not older than this story? People complained back then in a fashionable and jokingly manner, ie: "This is as old as the internet". Stop taking misguided pokes at the new Digg. Your irrelevant complaints are getting irritating.
varfySep 10, 2010
You would have never gotten a bitter comment like this on Digg v3.

Just so you know, little boy..you are none of these things...

There's a difference between an old video or web meme and a photobomb from the friggin' news coverage of the 2004 election. In the latter case, the fact that it's old as hell is actually relevant to the content itself. I never remember seeing anything as blatantly irrelevant and outdated as this making top 10 on digg v3... This "story" is currently #6 overall on Digg.
Our complaints are on point. The only thing that's increasingly becoming irrelevant in this scenario is Digg.

And Logan6694. He's pretty irrelevant right now. How does it feel to make such a badly targeted comment? Ouch. I'm not sure I could stand coming here any more (that and because Digg is now s**t.)
only2tymSep 10, 2010
Where's the big red box and arrows?
reystephensSep 10, 2010
That's is funny.
solistusSep 10, 2010
2004 called. They don't want this uninteresting photobomb back, though.
I think there's a bit of symbolic value in the fact that this old, crappy content that made the front page thanks to digg v4 sucking comes from a couple months before Digg was founded. Maybe we can send this content back to its own time, with a message to Kevin Rose: retire before August 2010 and quit while you're ahead.
