“Post-haste?” Who was the translator for this article, Stewie Griffin?
apcfreakAug 22, 2010
It is quite a common term to be used where I live.

I dunno about you, but if the newspaper is describing someone completely unlike me as having committed a (heinous) crime that I did, I would consider it a blessing.
fxspec06Aug 22, 2010
i'll call fake on this one?
franksmithAug 23, 2010
I doubt it...
A few nights ago someone breaks into my neighbors car and runs off when the alarm goes off. A couple hours later... after the cops have left, one of them knocks on the front door of the neighbor and mentions they tried to steal her car earlier and lost something while doing it and did she have it? They lost their bling bling watch and actually came back for it and asked for it.
If I were the cop
"Lay face down with your hands behind your back... what? No, no... I am not here to arrest you for the bank robbery (or attempted car theft) I am here to arrest you because you are too stupid to be loose in society"

Sounds like an urban legend, or a hoax.
chomprelAug 22, 2010
Why is this s**t on the front page? Obviously fake story with very few comments.....
joannchiladaAug 22, 2010
I misread the title as, "Bank Robber Arrested After Eating Paper Heist Details." That would have been more interesting.
applessauceAug 22, 2010
Blogspam. Actual story is linked at the bottom under "via" and "source."

guillauweAug 22, 2010
I don't know what can I say for that, except : LOL
Is that a true story? ... it's unbelievable!
bosskeyAug 22, 2010
Looks like 75% of the commenters here are going to make the same mistake the Engadget commenters did: Assuming the screen shot in the article is the actual item, and not just the illustration faked up by Engadget so that they could have a picture next to the article.

god damn i wish love line was still on the air, this would be the best germany or florida.
