you can tell because it's poorer, property values are lower, homes are in disrepair and crime is higher. the kicker is that crime doesn't happen at the same rates for just as poor or poorer segregated white neighborhoods, of which there are more of.
It's not something that struck me (or I'd thought about) until I started making friends and we went eating everywhere.
There's apparently racial silliness still going on based on the occasional friend's remark, but overall, it's seemingly not something serious enough to be a headliner topic anymore.

Dallas is amazingly cosmopolitan.
