While I am impressed that this article mentions Tebow endorsing Jockey underwear, the excellence that is Tim Tebow runs much deeper than his cute face and killer body. The Tebow family founded an orphanage in the southern Philippines that educates, feeds, clothes and houses orphaned Filipino children.
What does Tebow have in common with public schools that are consistently high-performing? Tebow has unwavering faith, incredible focus, the instincts of a winner, immense amounts of compassion, and a spirit that can't be broken by a hobbit-sized, angry, self appointed, self important, Bill Maher.
Excellent schools should seek to be turning out more Tim Tebows and fewer Bill Mahers.
I guess you could say that Tim Tebow has everything --- except for the skills needed to be a truly great and successful NFL quarterback. And all the faith in the world won't change that.

Nice article. Although, I believe Tebow himself was homeschooled.

oh for f**ks sake. f**k Tim Tebow. Can't I go one day without seeing the people acting like he's the second f**king coming?

What do they have in common? I dunno--does Bill Maher have some irrational hatred of good schools, too?

"Excellent Schools" does not refer to Public Schooling, surely?
