I think drunk people kind of enhance the experience, no?
balconyvietnamMay 27, 2011
It is my daily experience here
elmuerte17May 27, 2011
No. There's a time and a place to be obnoxious, and dining in a nice restaurant isn't either.
scabnabbitMay 27, 2011
They forgot one of the worst: The loud cellphone assh**e.
UncleTogieMay 27, 2011
I hate the loud douchebags that criticize everyone around them whilst thinking their own air biscuits smell like lemon-lime.
...for the record, mine are grape.
flatbadgerMay 27, 2011
If I'm drunk, no one annoys me....happy drunk LOL
lnussrallahMay 27, 2011
Once you're drunk, you are probably sloppy and maybe horny so that just makes for an all-around gross experience for others.

BABIES.

MENERGY!

Kids cry. Kids squeal. It's what they do, and it doesn't last long. It's what you did. Don't be such whiny bitches.
Now... the loud jerk on the cellphone, or the overly loud coworker party, or teens horsing around, or the sick person hacking up phlegm, well.. f**k them.
bassgirl09May 27, 2011
Agreed. If you have very young children please please get a sitter...if you cannot afford one then you cannot afford to go out to dinner.
bcronosMay 27, 2011
The sitter doesn't exist than can keep up with my 3 kids, ages 1,3 &7. It's hard for proud parents to understand that other people don't find their kids as cute as they do.
The fanciest we get is Denny's anyway... So smile at them, make a few funny faces, and the smile you get in return will make your day...

i like kids but whiny kids will make me get up and leave a restaurant. they should be at the top.
boner79May 27, 2011
I disagree with lumping parents in with these other douchebags. Having kids is a normal part of life but there is no excuse for actively being an a-hole at a restaurant.
scabnabbitMay 27, 2011
By definition, if your kid's acting crazy, like the article says:
"And if you let your kid cry, we actually hate you a lot more than the kid. He at least can't help himself. But you can -- by putting down your c**ktail and heading home. "
Why's the kid crying anyway? Wants to go home? Wants something that doesn't include the parents just sitting there ignoring it. (Which I've seen - or worse, hitting it.)
You decided to have a kid. Cool. The world doesn't owe you. Take care of your damn kid. (Or don't have one.)
boner79May 27, 2011
if only it were that simple
ikorkyiMay 27, 2011
sometimes kids just cry and there is nothing you can do about it. "ignoring" them is often the most effective - as they are just crying as some sort of terrorism or coercion - knowing you will cave if they are loud enough. they really can be evil little sacks of meat and water.
the simple parts is: just leave. i'm sorry it's ruining your night, but there is no reason you should ruin the night of others.
elmuerte17May 27, 2011
I've no problem with kids, but honestly, that's what places like Olive Garden are for. You shouldn't be bringing your toddler to a four-star restaurant, and especially if you can't make him sit down and shut up.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
facepisser2000May 27, 2011
That's what Chuck E. Cheese is for. You sound like a massive pompous ass.
elmuerte17May 30, 2011
Yeah, okay... I'm a pompous ass for getting pissed off that I have to shout over screaming toddlers for my date to hear me. I'm sorry if Olive Garden is your idea of fine dining and I offended you by saying it's the sort of place one should take their misbehaved children; the one here is roughly the level of your average Denny's.
facepisser2000May 31, 2011
I don't think Olive Garden is "fine dining" but you act like it's some redneck playground for poor people. When you imply that only trash would eat at Olive Garden you are a douche. Get over yourself.

Sometimes after visit a restaurant, I hate all the world.
ZombieYakuzaMay 27, 2011
Pretty funny that the author -a girl- doesn't like being seated near college/sorority girls... if a guy had written the article there'd be a totally different spin on that.
elmuerte17May 27, 2011
No, I don't like being seated next to a loud, obnoxious group, even if they are all smoking hot and desperately horny. That's what clubs are for.
