The lake is dying, but it's a disgrace in this situation that it's put before action against occupation and the people who suffer under it, as the lake's fate is a result of the occupation, the massive and intentionally profligate use of water by Israeli colonialists on the West Bank as a symbol of their rule over the natives.

You can't save the lake without getting rid of Israel's colonial fortress settlements.
