I hear the Paris Hilton is a great place to stay. [Insert Saturday Night Live Joke Here].
My advice if you're going to Paris: Go with someone who can speak French (assuming that you don't).
The person I traveled with could speak French very well, and although I could have probably managed, it would not have been easy.

Not in my experience, of course when I go I am usually in the areas that get a lot of tourists so they probably are used to it and expect it.
