This bring's me back to an old comment I had made about germ's at the gym. Your immune system is only as good as you let it. Most people that become sick from the flu or common cold probably take measure's to make sure they don't become sick. Vaccine's are the same idea. Infect someone with the dead virus so the immune system know's what it look's like and can fight it. Always being clean and sanitary is not always a good thing.
