Atheists are the most discriminated against minority group in America unfortunately, which is why so many are afraid to speak up about it publicly. Granted it's not as bad as in conservative muslim regions, but it's still pretty bad as this scumbag twitter (who is probably a wimp with a tiny dick to begin with) demonstrates.
Also, didn't Colbert have a clip about atheists being more "dangerous" than terrorists last night?
Actually as a country we are far more tolerant of Atheists now than we are of Christians. Activist Judges are ruling for the removal of Christian symbols all the time.
Even though the country was founded on Christian values and are laws are modeled after the Ten Commandments as well as other things ie.. The Magna Carta etc...
There are always hateful people on both sides. Extremists on both sides.
I always get a kick when an ultra-conservative says "both sides...". In fact, I think Digg Patriots in your circle said some similar things to their opponents during your reign of terror: http://notruepatriot.org/public/messages/search.html
There is no group activity there. It appears to be just one person using the digg patriot name. Only one person posting submissions. Nobody is commenting to them and there is no friend activity.
i dont know, looking through it's facebook page i see a lot of group activity pointing you guys (not you of course since you've never heard of it, right before explaining in detail what it is and it's current activity) to which articles to attack and focus on.
it's okay, you totally werent lying and are a completely credible source of info on the group that you were never a member of but are now explaining it in detail.
i would imagine that no one is commenting on them since they dont want to give away who is a memeber or not. also with 200+ people 'liking' it, it doesnt seem real sparsely populated.
"So no it doesn't look like the digg patriots have gotten back together. At least not here"
of course that's how it looks. that's how it's supposed to look. You guys may be f**king idiots, but you arent that dumb.
oh, is that why if you follow any of the articles that they link to that are posted to digg you see the same cast of characters spewing their scripted propaganda, a complete lack of comments by anyone who isnt a right wing extremist, and is usually a topic that the extremists flock to like the sheep they are.
for example, there's one there talking about gun rights and how the government should be paying for their guns since people can get medical insurance now.
if those types of articles and comments are made up, they're doing a pretty thorough and convincing job.
either that or you're just lying again. something that you frequently get caught doing, like a few comments up.
i think your best bet would be to stop posting stupid remarks whenever anyone mentions the DP, if you want people to actually believe your lies that it doesnt exist and that you arent a part of it
Being "conservative" has little to do with religion, and everything to do with how you see yourself and your role in the world.
Dividing between Conservative/Liberal and Christian/Atheist in the way that you just did (while equating "Conservative" and "Christian") just made Dostoevsky and Bakhtin roll over in their graves.
"Actually as a country we are far more tolerant of Atheists now than we are of Christians. Activist Judges are ruling for the removal of Christian symbols all the time."
Are we talking about Nativity Scenes off courthouse lawns here? Because public buildings represent all of the American people, not just Christians. Telling you that you or anyone else cannot put your signs on our house is not discrimination, it's fairness.
'Minority' is based on race, not an idology. A religious ideology or lack thereof does not a minority group make. Traditionally a minority group was classified as a minority group due to uncontrollable circumstances, such as skin color. Religious ideology is a belief system that is a choice and therefore can be changed, making it a non-minority group.

1. the smaller part or number; a number, part, or amount forming less than half of the whole.
2. a smaller party or group opposed to a majority, as in voting or other action.
3. a group differing, especially in race, religion, or ethnic background, from the majority of a population: legislation aimed at providing equal rights for minorities.
4. a member of such a group.
5. the state or period of being under the legal age of full responsibility.
Interestingly enough, that woman does have some valid points. However, by reading her grammar and obvious lack of tact, she acts just as bad as a teenager.
People like that woman need to learn that no one will pay attention to their point of view until you welcome someone to stand next to you. Telling someone to see it from your point of view, yet pushing them away from your vantage point does no good.
Who is slickricky69? Is he attacking her for being atheist or for some other reason? This submission doesn't indicate why. Only the comment by the submitter brings in atheism. What did she do to him that pissed him off anyway?Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
She gets these all the time from lots of different people (not just slickricky69) and has spent a good deal of time under police protection because of all the threats on her life.
It would be a big leap to say that "everyone else who threatened her did so because she spoke out against religious indoctrination in public schools but in this case, it's probably for some other reason totally unrelated to the constant death threats she receives."
What did she do that pissed him off? She asked a school not to cram a religion down her throat. That's all. It should never have been a big deal.

Objectively false.
Here are just a few examples of studies done to discover who is the most hated group:
http://atheism.about.com/od/atheistbigotryprejudice/a/AtheistSurveys.htm
Not wanting you to cram your religion down everyone else's throat hardly qualifies as people being intolerant of you.
leonard2Feb 22, 2012
Sure doesn't look that way on digg. I don't see any bigotry towards atheists here but on the other hand digg is full of Christian bigots.
particleman420Feb 23, 2012
digg isnt an accurate sample of the country either.

Incorrect. A "minority" is any group which is outnumbered by people who do not belong to that group. That's what makes it a minority.
Tyranny is not okay just because it comes from the majority.
