you beat me to it. they will do it now that they have the right to the characters. Lego does it with all of the new licenses they have acquired in the last few years.

If you follow the link for that says characters it shows the mini figs, looks like the hobbits/dwarfs have different legs and maybe a shorter torso as well.

torsos are the same size but yes, the legs are shorter. They've had the shorter legs since the Castles line. The trouble is that the legs don't bend so the kids don't find them to be as fun.
