FTA: Netflix says they rent the most romantic movies per capita. They were previously rated #4 most miserable for their binge drinking. I'd say they're the most miserable (it's Wisconsin) and just rent movies to see what they're missing.

Notice, All of those states are in the midwest...2 of them in Iowa alone. I won't say that my state is the most boring but, when you've got that much cows and corn, there's not much else to do. And yes, I do live in Iowa, and the small town feel is great, but it can be bad when you just wanna be alone and anonymous...

If movies are escapism, then the most romantic place in America would be the one that rented the fewest romantic movies because they already have enough romance in their normal lives.
