It was probably a stupid intern freshman
martoqMay 23, 2011
There's a big difference between a typo and a misspelling.
anomaly100May 23, 2011
Whoops.
gkiltzMay 24, 2011
They never have been known for their English program.

I wonder if any of the graduates realized the misspelling.
kyow86May 23, 2011
Yea, that's gotta suck! :)
wealthkingdomMay 23, 2011
It is no surprise they make typos, everyone makes mistakes.
juliekidMay 23, 2011
Ouch.

Yes, you just graduated from one of the most prestigious schools in the country; here's a reminder that you will constantly be working for, or getting screwed over by the C+ students.

How is this news?
macharborguyMay 23, 2011
The University didn't make the mistake. The people that were in charge of making the Programs made the mistake.
penglustMay 23, 2011
The University probably contracted this out. That is true. But they should have been part of the proofreading process. Ultimately the University is responsible for everything associated with itself.
Your response is no different than corporations blaming things on sub contractors. In fact they often sub contract just to have somebody to blame it on.
Besides with automatic spell checking on pretty much every piece of text processing software these days it is just plain silly.
macharborguyMay 23, 2011
I never once suggested a third party worked on this, though that may have been the case.
What I was getting at is that the University is made up of employees, and it was the mistake of those individuals that were responsible for this specific project. I highly doubt that a spelling mistake is a negative mark for the University as a place.
Its like saying "The Hospital f**ked up my operation", no, the Doctor f**ked up your operation.
