The eyes are a wide angle lens, this is roughly equivalent to human vision. So, like WhereAndWhen said, this is what the girls REALLY look like, which is the whole point.

A wide angle lens is not "roughly equivalent to human vision". The human eye has a wide field of view but it's equal to about a 50mm lens. A wide angle lens is a distortion to increase the field of view within the same canvas, if you will.
That being said, these shots were not taken with a wide angle lens, it is probably close to 50mm. They do have harsh, direct flash (see the shadows directly behind them?) which is not "real life", unless you are a celebrity who spends the majority of their waking hours stalked by paparazzi.

Shorty -- unless they all have FAS, the large gap between the eyes is due to the lens, which I guess to be a 35mm. Just so you know; while 50 is close to the angle of a human eye, 90 is the norm for portraits.

They're not turning away from each other they're looking straight ahead and I mean straight, not -slightly- cross eyed like you normally are when you look at someone. If the target is far away the eyes will appear more parallel. The camera was probably far back with a telephoto lens.

First of all, the were shot with a really wide angle lends, which will distort the shape of the face. But they're retouched in Photoshop.
The photos are fake. Someone really bad at photoshop went in and used liquify to slightly distort everything. Just look at the eyes. They're too big in most of them.

The lens isn't that wide, probably around 35mm (on 135 equiv). Standard field of view that's not much wider than what the eye itself normally sees.
These girls have jacked up proportions and look like aliens from the planet chernobyl. It's not the lens.
