That would be so peaceful and relaxing, just have to hope it doesn't rain.

eh. s**t happens.

You don't need a resort to sleep under the stars.
rachellousAug 14, 2010
As beautiful and peaceful as it would be, I would only be thinking about all the bugs circling my bed... especially in the Australian location.

Back to nature. leave city and go to countryside. sleep at garden. see moon and stars, then sleep. how you feel?. what a real nature! it is right, isn't it?

Just bring a little 420 and some good conversation and we're good.

Maybe it's because I'm from Florida...maybe it's because I'm a girl...maybe it's because I'm the only sane one here.
WHO THE F%#*! wants to spend a solid grand to sleep in the worlds least secure conditions?!
I mean, the African ones at least have mosquito netting. Because hey, malaria is a gift that keeps on giving! But I don't think there is anything relaxing about experiencing "nature" (e.g. large cats, coyotes, snakes of all varieties, bugs that have no business sharing my bed, etc.) when I'm trying to fall asleep and am at my most vulnerable. I mean, the one in Italy seems like the least freaky, but even then I'd image they have insects and bats, oh, and lots of air traffic to soothe the soul.
If I want to experience nature, I do it armed and ready, alert and NOT FREAKING ASLEEP.

That South African game reserve tree house looks pretty awesome and affordable. As long as I don't have a thousand bugs all over me, and am safe from a snake crawling in bed, I'm there.

I traveled for four months in the western part of the U.S. and spent $9 to camp in two days. Almost every night I was sleeping under the stars and one day I paid to camp, I still slept under the stars. I sleep outside under the stars as many nights as I can, even at home. I sleep on a deck cantilevered over a lake. I see the stars at night and hear the loons call. In the morning, I'm awoken by the sun rising over the misty lake. Over the years and in many different countries, I've slept outside for several thousand nights. It's one of the pleasures of life.
Most of Utah is publicly owned and open to camping. Why anyone would pay such money to do something they can do for free is completely beyond me. Sleeping under the stars in the conditions in the article is, how do you call it....Missing the point.

Some nut job dug you down. I agree with you and dug you back up, having spent many nights sleeping under the stars in western states, Utah being one of them.
Here is one of my favorite campsites

I liked description of Utah Resort. The sound of coyote and sheep passing by while sleeping in the desert, this is reallymagical.
