This game became one of my favorite games of all time. It's like you're playing a Japanese animated comic book. Slowing time down and speeding it up on the fly made for some great gameplay mechanics. Not only was it fun to play but it looked beautiful just watching it. I also vote for an XBLA port!

If it was done right, why did it have only two entries and is completely forgotten and abandoned by Capcom?

This game was great, but to say Capcom has completely forgotten and abandoned it isn't telling the whole story. They may have stopped at two titles, so maybe they did abandon the series, but they definitely have not forgotten it. I mean they put Viewtiful Joe into last year's release of Marvel vs Capcom 3! That doesn't say "forgotten" to me...

It's a great game, I've got both it and it's sequel for my Gamecube.

I doubt that, I think they where just going for something stylish - here the marketing was all targeted towards old-school/hardcore gamers and people who like things that are... Viewtiful.
