Hopefully. The revolters need to realize that many of us valid users agree that many of the sites features need to be fixed or restored, but burying comments that are funny and spamming threads doesn't make us very fond of them.
If you want a valid protest that doesn't piss off the regular users, create a list of things you would like fixed in the new Digg, and keep it at the top of the Top News list.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

Wait, you mean to say use revolters aren't valid users? We most certainly are. We supported Digg through thick and thin. Our revolt was our effort to get digg to change back but they ignored so we left. But until we left, we WERE valid users.

There has been another oil rig explosion off the coast of LA and it's still not a top news story.
Story promotion is screwed. I can't even follow the day's events on Digg. The most important function of this site was (for me) to follow the latest news. Now Digg doesn't even do that effectively.

That's at least partly due to the revolt. People digging only reddit submissions and others digging anything but reddit is bound to f**k up the site. If everyone would just calm down then the site would probably normalize. While it was it beta and all the losers weren't going crazy it worked great. The algorithm was fine.

Front page algorithm change has helped a lot. Top news will slowly catch up. It will need more time cause it will need more diggs. Funny how that works. I'm going to guess many people wont notice and just continue to bitch about it.

The bury brigades have made way for the reddit-digg and comment-spam brigades. They won't allow for digg to get back in order, and thereby give themselves reason to keep bitching because digg is still not back in order. It really is a vicious circle.
