I want to play these games on NES !
NOW!
mrstabbyAug 3, 2010
That Soul Calibur one looks fantastic.
neotechniAug 3, 2010
Most of those would need a SNES at least
fuzzynyankoAug 3, 2010
These look more like Genesis games

The Bayonetta one looks exceptional
solinvictusAug 1, 2010
Gotta love Bioshock.
xraymasterAug 1, 2010
The Resident Evil one looks amazing. Chris and Sheva look perfectly pixelated
valayAug 2, 2010
These look very nice.
drwebzAug 2, 2010
Brutal legend as shadowgate is f**king Brutal.
Closed AccountAug 3, 2010
Not that it matters, but I think it's been demade as a typical Lucasarts adventure game and not Shadowgate, although I can see why you'd think that.
ajaxmilAug 3, 2010
it's made in a similar style to LucasArt's Full Throttle, which is only fitting, as Tim Schafer directed both games.
neotechniAug 3, 2010
Hell I thought it was that game
crvenobradiAug 2, 2010
I think the FFXIII one looks better than the actual game.
danielvutran1Aug 3, 2010
In b4 fanboys.
elranzerAug 3, 2010
I was thinking the same thing. The game already looks more fun in SNES-style 2D.

These look pixel perfect!!

Gang Garrison 2 looks fun.
smacksawAug 2, 2010
Anyone have a list of what they all are? The artist failed to supply it.
Remembering how fun Super Sprint was, the Mario Kart version at the end looks pretty awesome.

Was looking for this comment. Just to digg it. lol.
nmanguyAug 3, 2010
Super Smash Flash, Mirror's Edge 2D, Left 4K Dead, Gang Garrison 2. Those are all demakes, and they are real and playable. Google them.
Hopefully this comment is worthless because all of you know about them, but if not...
sunsetprojectsAug 3, 2010
Link please.
jwalkinAug 3, 2010
Speaking of which... just wasted mebbe 3 hours playin Mario 63.
nmanguyAug 3, 2010
Awesome, that game looks like it required an awfully large amount of time to make. Too bad they didn't put it on Kongregate.
thecoffeeAug 3, 2010
Someone demade Mario Kart? Oh man I would have loved to play that my Super Nintendo!
thatsnomoon66Aug 3, 2010
You know what's great? We are the only people in a period of history that will know games like this. Eventually games are going to be so realistic that there will be point that they cannot be enhanced. Perhaps we will play games in our own minds with a fake Matrix-like reality system. For this short time of gaming history only we be able to remember playing games like these, instead of watching their screens flashed on a museum holoprojection. They will say "look how you can see pixels... isn't that funnny? When I enter MindSynk5000 it's indistuingishible from reality!" That's what makes these games so beautiful, that they're flawed in graphics, that the gameplay is as simple as" four buttons for movement and one button for jump". Goodbye pixelated games, goodbye to a time of simple beauty. It's almost like seeing a child grow up, or it could be because I just smoke a fat bowl.
kinggorillaAug 3, 2010
I think once we get that MindSynk5000 as the standard with everyone being able to own the devkit we no longer have to worry about limitations on graphics and the only rating system for games would be purely based on the game play. A golden era of gaming imo. Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
factorof13Aug 3, 2010
Nobody would ever stop playing. Especially if people had access to a devkit. Who wants to live in this s**tty world when we can program our own fantasies to be indistinguishable from reality?Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.
akazielAug 3, 2010
We could play a virtual reality video game of someone sitting down and playing old pixellated video games!
bulletbillxAug 3, 2010
I dont think simple games will ever die out. We're in the era of games looking like crysis and yet PSN/XBLA/XBL indie games/steam/wiiware/etc. continually crank out new original games that are sometimes very simplistic or even just 2d yet awesome.
Also the fact that pacman, breakout, pong, tetris, doom, etc. are ported to just about every electronic device we own.
imnotashinobiAug 3, 2010
i love sprites! there, i said it.
tacodog76Aug 3, 2010
I more of a 7up guy, personally.
sasquatchbillAug 3, 2010
I believe you mean '7ups'.
mrpaterackAug 3, 2010
Where were these games when I was growing up?
:(
fr0stbyte124Aug 3, 2010
It's kind of funny that you can demake Guitar Hero and it's still the exact same game.
bulletbillxAug 3, 2010
not exactly. playing to a midi would probably not be as cool as the real song. though i guess you could demake it to whatever the first system was to have redbook/cdaudio levels though.
pxtlAug 3, 2010
That Guitar Hero mockup looked 8-bit. No console is going to have graphics _that_ old and a CD drive. I'd almost expect such a machine to be sporting some kind of tape-player peripheral.
keviniskoolAug 3, 2010
Sega CD?

Batman Reminds me of Ultima 8 : Pagan
elranzerAug 3, 2010
The majority of these look depressingly better than the originals they're based on.
safman89Aug 3, 2010
i would have bought FFXIII if it looked like that
michaelykAug 3, 2010
I was hoping to see God of War in that list.
joeboy68Aug 3, 2010
Bioshock 2, actually.
sdphostAug 4, 2010
