I find your lack of Jet Set Radio disturbing. Also I'd like to see optional PS3 Move waggle added to Nights and JSR.
gvoakesJul 4, 2010
It wasn't a Saturn game
mstachiwJul 4, 2010
Oh my mistake I thought the title said "14 Sega Games We Want to See as Next Gen DLC" /s :D
renianJul 5, 2010
/s? It WAS your mistake, the actual article title does not say that.
neotechniJul 5, 2010
It wasnt a mistake though, the title/description doesn't specify saturn.
Hence the /s
He even explained it "I thought the title said "14 Sega Games We Want to See as Next Gen DLC""
clarknoheartJul 5, 2010
It wasn't his mistake. It's the submitter's mistake. He changed the article's title to mean something entirely different.
renianJul 5, 2010
Isn't it still his mistake for not reading the actual title of the article and thus not understanding what gvoakes was getting at?
He was bitching about no Jet Set Radio, but gvoakes pointed out that the article was for Saturn games. mstachiw's response was a mocking one with the /s, pointing to the Digg title instead of investigating to defend his comment.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

JSRF was one of the first Xbox games I bought and I spent SOOOO much time with it... Like I said in my other comment: innovation is pretty much dead (paraphrased).
clouds31Jul 5, 2010
I think the author was mostly going for saturn.
indirectJul 5, 2010
Although the title simply states 'Sega games', the list is actually all Saturn games. JSR was great though.
Closed AccountJul 4, 2010
I miss 16 and 32 bit gaming :( Sure, there are lots of great games coming out now, but very few of them innovate the way games did "back in the day". Maybe I'm just older and setting higher standards, but I can't remember the last time I bought a console (or upgraded my PC) just to play a specific game. The original Xbox was the last console I bought thinking "I just need this" and the last graphics card I bought for my PC was a GeForce 9800GT (thinking PhysX was where it was at).
I miss you innovation, please come back... :~(
llanowarJul 4, 2010
There were craploads of s**tty games back in the days.
Just as with anything, nostaliga makes you think it used to be better.
Also, we like to remember the good things but not the bad.
everlast88Jul 4, 2010
No X-Men Vs Street fighter?
shingoexJul 5, 2010
That's a Capcom title, not a Sega title.
everlast88Jul 5, 2010
The title on here is wrong, if you actually read the story you would have seen it was Saturn games.
grexeoJul 4, 2010
In the nights, dream delight, I want to see you standing there...
stiflsunJul 4, 2010
Shining Force 3?
Closed AccountJul 4, 2010
with the other episodes!
bigjuicywartJul 5, 2010
I have no idea how they could have left Shining Force III off this list. Also, where the hell is Burning Rangers?
Closed AccountJul 5, 2010
Burning Rangers is on the list.
jonathunderJul 5, 2010
The original one is the best RPG of all time
stuntaneousJul 4, 2010
no doubt they'll be sold at ridiculously inflated prices. they can be great, classic games but i don't see why people fork out so much for them.
ryanoptJul 5, 2010
Not entirely relevant but SEGA has Streets of Rage and other Sega Genesis games on the iPhone for 59p/$0.99
Granted they're not remakes but if they were, around £3/$5 would still be pretty reasonable.
frshhhJul 4, 2010
Did anyone else just go "meh..." 14 times?
Buried accordingly.
clouds31Jul 5, 2010
I'll bury YOU 14 times.
ryanoptJul 5, 2010
I sorta did but realised the ones I thought would be on the list have already been remade.
kevroJul 4, 2010
The Saturn is hugely overlooked, especially all the great games that where released in Japan only. Nights in to dream got a nice ps2 port with the option of original graphics or updated, that release is Japan only but can be found online.
scscoutguyJul 4, 2010
Ranger X and Exo Squad FTW!
7m7ufJul 5, 2010
Ranger X i would love to have again -- and also Chakan: The Forever Man.
ek3sJul 4, 2010
Shadowrun
alexkorovaJul 5, 2010
Shadowrun for Saturn? I've only played it on SNES and Genesis.
chilidogsJul 11, 2010
There was a third released only in japan. I can't remember which system it was for. I hear it wasn't any good. The genesis game is one of the best games I have ever played.

Lunar The Silver Star and Lunar Eternal Blue!
neotechniJul 5, 2010
Can't. Working Designs is gone...
raydeenJul 5, 2010
And sorely missed. Cosmic Fantasy 2...oh wait, that was TG-16...Still a great company.
meribianJul 6, 2010
Working Designs being gone hurts me. I've never seen another company pour so much love and effort into making games.
philbertJul 5, 2010
As great as they were they were already remade once for the PSOne, in fact Lunar :Silver Star Story was my reason for getting a PSOne. Too bad the remake sucked. I was just hoping for improved graphics, but they changed the game play.
Of course neither of those games were Saturn games anyway. However Working designs did make Shining Wisdom for Saturn and that was pretty cool too.
meribianJul 6, 2010
There are Japanese versions of the Saturn games.
natetendo83Jul 4, 2010
How about Cyber Speedway?
renianJul 4, 2010
Buried for misleading Digg title.
The article talks about the top 14 SATURN games they'd like to see, not the top 14 SEGA games. So now we got a bunch of comments from people not RTFAT.
wolferzJul 5, 2010
actually the last game on the list is NOT a Saturn game. Even says so in the article. It is a 32x game whose SEQUEL came out on the Saturn.
I would tell you to rtfa just to be ironic but... meh
meribianJul 4, 2010
Holy f**k! I forgot all about Fighters Megamix! I wanna play that so f**king badly right now... The same goes for NiGHTS.
neotechniJul 5, 2010
Nights was remade on PS2 and Wii
darkshroudJul 5, 2010
It's not the same.
neotechniJul 5, 2010
The PS2 one is. It contains the original.
meribianJul 6, 2010
I bought the Wii one and the magic just isn't there. You're awesome for informing me on the PS2 version, though.

Toy Story! The Lion King!
joejitsuJul 4, 2010
Its not a Saturn Game, but Comix Zone deserves a remake. Incorporate motion control into it to draw things into the game.
kahnzaJul 4, 2010
Needs more Road Rash!
koffinkorpsJul 5, 2010
I've been patiently waiting for a Road Rash remake.
mark5hsJul 5, 2010
Why do people still called it next gen?
neotechniJul 5, 2010
Cause Wii and PS2 are still present, not specifying next gen would include them.
getpumped87Jul 5, 2010
Wii came out after 360 and shortly before ps3
ravenhaftJul 5, 2010
That doesn't make any sense. You can still buy a Sega Genesis and it's still "present" too, but we don't call that "current gen". These consoles aren't next gen it's just dumb to say that.
mottwallyJul 5, 2010
Seems like you should have linked to the original 1UP column instead of this one. I know UGO owns em, but they deserve the clicks me thinks..
exypaJul 5, 2010

clouds31Jul 5, 2010
Spoiler alert?
camilos007Jul 5, 2010
They forgot to include the best games in that list. Astal over Jet Grind Radio? The guy who wrote that list is coocoo for cocopuffs.
shingoexJul 5, 2010
Guardian Heroes and Radiant Silvergun are Treasure titles, not Sega titles.
verboseJul 5, 2010
I want Quartet. I know, I know. I still want it.
mogdorJul 5, 2010
So is everybody supposed to know what DLC means?
clarknoheartJul 5, 2010
Yes.
darkshroudJul 5, 2010
Sega needs to release all the Pazer Dragoon games as DLC or to disc. I have both Sonic collections for my GC/Wii and love them.
dcx516Jul 5, 2010
Herzog Zwei was the s**t!!!!
cheesepufflyJul 5, 2010
roms?
kevroJul 5, 2010
Saturns Virtua Racing port was horrible , the 32x Virtual Racing Deluxe is arguable the best one.
kingchris11Jul 5, 2010
Cyborg Justice, Gunstar Heroes, Mega Turrican. lol just noticed all of em are side-scrollers. and there arent enough side-scrollers nowdays.

trancedynastyJul 6, 2010
Amen brother.
omega286Jul 5, 2010
they can't f**king list 14 games on 1 page?
microfootJul 5, 2010
Wouldn't these games run on a PS3/360/Wii? Why wait for the next generation?
thizzlebotJul 5, 2010
I seriously hate this f**king site, why cant the put all the s**t on one page!
shingoexJul 5, 2010
I'll take these as current-gen DLC, as opposed to next-gen.
trdrstvJul 6, 2010
Dumb isn't it? We're going into the Wii and PS3's 5th Christmas shopping season, and the 360's 6th... It's LOoooooooooong past the time we stopped calling those systems 'next gen'.
tomacco79Jul 5, 2010
Guardian Heroes done up in HD would be stellar.
libertyprimeJul 5, 2010
Last I checked DLC was Downloadable Content as in map pack or an add-on quest or something, not a f**king game. Some one doesn't seem to know the difference between a downloadable game or content. Also, most of the s**t they have on that list sucks.
