This might be allowed. Several parks out west allow visitors to climb certain arches. Double O arch in Arches National Park is one example.

each time you do that it frays the rope a tiny bit from the friction. *climbers only use old ropes for this trick that are deemed no longer safe for climbing. have fun, be smart kids, don't try this at home.
