I would put the Wolverine movie in it... They totally messed up the claws, looked much better in the older X Men movies, and the chopper scene was kinda crap

I hate when good movies have terrible effects. Such a turn off.

Harry potter had some bad GFX issues

I was disappointed with the Prince of Persia. Some of the city scenes that they were sort of "pimping" looked pretty poor

So sad.

Those movies need to update to DirectX11 already...
clinneFeb 22, 2011
Sometimes they put to much effort into the special effects and spoil a good move...

I don't care if the effects sucked, Samuel Jackson getting eaten by that shark was awesome.
darthmeatloafFeb 23, 2011
I can't watch that scene without hearing "OMNOMNOM" in my head when the shark jumps up to get him.

+1 for putting the Star Wars special editions on there.

I was bewildered by how bad Jabba looked.
Frankly, I didn't like Jar Jar, but he was a triumph of special effects. Meanwhile, CG Jabba looked like crap. I wondered if it was the same company who did CG for the TV show "Hercules."

Anything directed by Michael Bay....

What the hell were they thinking when they made An American Werewolf in Paris? The whole movie is one bad special effect.

In Ultraviolet when she is jumping through the air on the motorcycle you can clearly see the green screen halo all around her (its magenta because of how they process the color) It is by far the worst composite I have ever seen in a film, its as if they simply drew a garbage mat around her and tried to pass it off.

pterodactyls....enough said.

I personally don't think films need big budgets to pull off cool special effects. A recent example is a really low budget indie film shot in Chinatown, it's called 'Year of the Fish.' They used a rotoscoping animation technique and it looks beautiful. Cheap but awesome!

I always thought if they made I Am Legend without the s**tty CGI and did the monsters with real people in costume/makeup, it would have made an ok movie into an awesome movie.
