Great news. Not much on TV is worth watching, but Conan is always funny.

Thank GOD.
Who is Conan?
michaelpintoFeb 22, 2012
he's this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conan_the_Barbarian

His TV audience is only about a quarter the size of the Tonight Show but apparently for TBS that's still considered a success.
neondistractionFeb 23, 2012
For cable in general that's considered a success. Cable TV doesn't have nearly as many viewers as broadcast TV.
stackoleeFeb 23, 2012
Even amongst cable viewers he's the lowest: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/tv-column/post/tbs-renews-conan-through-2014/2012/02/22/gIQAA8wJTR_blog.html?hpid=z12
"he’s averaged about 1.1 million viewers — compared to “The Colbert Report’s” 1.6 million, and “The Daily Show’s” 2.2 million.
."...Jay Leno is averaging 3.7 million viewers in the first quarter, Dave Letterman is averaging 3.3 million, and “Nightline” is posting an average of 3.7 million. Additionally, Jimmy Kimmel is logging 1.7 million viewers, Jimmy Fallon 1.8 million, and Craig Ferguson 1.5 million. "
I liked Conan back in the early days, but I lost interest not long after the first time Andy left. There's been nothing of interest in the TBS show at all (save for Harrison Ford). I hoped after losing the Tonight Show, Conan would have moved onto something other than late night talk shows. He's a talented guy, but he's done all there is to do in that medium.Comment is buried, click here to see the rest.

His ratings are only the "lowest" if you only compare him to the two highest rated shows on cable.
lemonrindFeb 23, 2012
To be fair, the Tonight Show's audience consists mainly of elderly people who have fallen asleep in front of the TV.

This guy has made more money doing nothing than most people make in 10 life-times and now they want to give him t-w-o--more years?! Give us a break!
