Did you click the link? I thought it was pretty cool to see what has changed from taboo to socially normal over the past century.

And yet, we still have so far to go,

Very cool article. It's interesting how popular culture--music, television, movies and books--influences society.

It's funnier to look at swim suits now vs then

This is very interesting. It's crazy for me to even begin to truly think about the idea of something being taboo. Take Elvis for example, he gyrated his hips and people were shocked because is evoked THOUGHTS of sex. Yet the vast majority of human beings engage in sex and if you were a parent and got offended by this, chances are, you had sex before too. The very notion that there is this need to separate the real world that we all live in and experience from the publicized and social realm is a fantastic example of cognitive dissonance. Why must we label something as taboo and avoid it in a social realm even if we must face it in the real world? The same can be said about cursing, sexual experimentation, nudity, a religiously diverse America, and so forth.

because it's a decent article and it shows you just how far we've come (for better or worse) in regards to American Media. What you should be questioning is the journalistic integrity of anyone who reports on Sarah Palin's current media whoring attempt of the week.. and the people digging THAT dogs**t to the front page.

I'd Digg Sarah Palin on all fours shaking her hound dog hips.
