these are the movies that leave impact on society
campcastawayApr 17, 2011
seriously!
Supersize Me changed my eating habits for years.
I may have drifted back toward fast food, but I still don't eat at McDonald's
sunuvApr 17, 2011
If you enjoyed watching super size me, it is definitely worth checking out the documentary Fat Head. It is about eating mcdonalds in proper portions for 30 days to improve health. They make a lot of good points about cholesterol in the movie, and attempt to figure out what Morgan Spurlock was eating eveyday in his movie and end up making the point that the info presented in spurlock's movie is obviously fudged to make Mcdonalds seem that much worse. If you are interested in this movie it's on netflix instant streaming right now.

Think he gets re-elected?
paogleApr 17, 2011
I am curious if this is going to be a good movie or a one note movie...but I like what he has done so far.
iriemeditationApr 16, 2011
Goes to show that almost everyone is willing to whore themselves out these days :(

Maybe it'll actually do something for the dying town.
ocelot13Apr 16, 2011
well i see youre from state college so you do know the area, but you can't say altoona is dying. its the best place in the area to do any shopping (nittany mall? what a joke)
theexitwoundApr 16, 2011
State College is central PA's hub of everything. Altoona and Johnstown are remnants from the past unfortunately. Not saying they're useless, but they're certainly not growing like SC is. I agree that the Nittany Mall is a lost cause. Shopping in Altoona is light years ahead. But unfortunately, there's not much else there in terms of careers and jobs, etc.
illinestApr 17, 2011
why are you two arguing about which minor town in central PA is less crappy?
-Harrisburg (also crappy)
theexitwoundApr 17, 2011
Because we'll never earn "Crappiest Town in PA" as Philadelphia will always retain that crown.
ocelot13Apr 17, 2011
well, as for altoona, you have the who sheetz corporation base, jobs there. and all the jobs related to the shopping not to mention when somewhere new needs built/existing renovated, it proved construction jobs, contracting, etc etc.
although its not like state college where theyre constantly building another hotel and/or bank.. but theres still hope for altoona to reinvent itself and move past the broken down railroad town of yesteryear
trogleApr 17, 2011
I recommend the internet. State College really does suck for shopping but Altoona is just sad when I have been there. But what do I know I live in San Diego now..

Sucks that his movie was a sham.
ajvizzgamer101Apr 17, 2011
Western PA is getting Hollywood attention. Dark Knight is also being filmed in Pittsburgh!
swordedgeApr 17, 2011
You read too much into it. Slap Shot did little for Johnstown PA
ajvizzgamer101Apr 17, 2011
Shh! I want Pittsburgh to seem important. :) I forgot about Slap Shot.
thatboykeetoApr 17, 2011
I hate the product placement, but it makes my shows so damn good!
bersercApr 17, 2011
This is the guy that starved himself before making a movie against McDonalds ... no thanks I'll pass
motivatedguyApr 16, 2011
Morgan Spurlock is a hack.
