Umm, no. the term "rock star" means you are a star performer of rock music. You don't have to actually be a GOOD performer, but you must be a star, and you must actually perform.

You really have two options here.
A: Rock star is a famous person who performs rock music.
B: Rock star is a person who behaves in a manner reminiscent of current or past rock stars.
Either are perfectly acceptable. A is literal. B is not literal.
Now comes the hard part: Get over yourself.

Well...probably not, but only because most of her concert dates (which is where she makes the bulk of her money) will be in the US.
But in terms of an average earnings, you are probably right. If she spends a month touring Europe, she will make a lot more than a month in the US.

When Reddit reaches the same popularity as Digg, it will go the way of Digg. It's just like the "Macs/Linux don't have virus" argument. Of course they don't -- no one uses them. Look what happened to Firefox. And somethingawful. And 4chan. And slashdot.

Actually, I'm not. I've probably visited Reddit 5 times in my in the past 2 years. I always preferred Digg. Until Kevin sold the site to the man. I'm just upset I lost one of my favorite websites, so I come back every now and then just to mourn I guess. Same reason you visit a family member's tombstone. Reminisce about all the puns and unfunny comic strips.

Reddit looks like it could be one of the first websites ever made. I tried to use it after Digg 4.0 launched and I even go the greasemonkey script. It just too s**tty. I don't care if the news is there a day earlier.

This is why it is funny to see people make fun of her or people like her. She is not stupid. She KNOWS that she likely does not have long term staying power with her image. So she is smart enough to maximize her earnings while she can. Then, when the hype dies down, if she still wants to, she can make reinvent herself to a less flashy singer, and if she makes money, then great. If not...no big deal because she will have a quarter BILLION dollars in the bank.
There is nothing wrong with someone choosing to make $250 million over 3-4 years rather than $30 million over 10 years.
