Surprised they didn't mentioned The Warren Theater, here in Wichita, KS. Has the largest IMAX 3-D screen in the US.

Century 21 in San Jose, California. Right across the street from the Winchester Mystery House.
It opened in 1967 and has a wrap around screen that is bigger than your peripheral vision. You have to turn your head left and right to see the screen edges. And yes, surround sound.
I saw the movie "Grand Prix" there. You were IN those F1 cars at 180mph!
Then I saw "2001 a Space Odyssey" there. I staggered out.
Anything less is just a home movie.
