I respected the man he was, but as anyone can tell you, his recent years have just been hard to watch. He just doesn't do good interviews anymore. His questions are dulled and his insight into their comments seems non-existent.

i hear his ratings have tanked from about 10-million people daily to about 3-million, he wouldn't have retired if he wasn't being pushed out from the poor ratings now - don't get me wrong, he is amazing, but the audience has changed and fewer people just watch today cuz of the variety of other shows...at least NBC isn't handling this issue, remember the Leno/Conan debacle...all the best Larry.
